This restaurant took me a bit by surprise. Although it says on the sign it is a buffet one of the first things you learn as you get to the door is they are not serving a buffet. Or at least they were not serving a buffet the day we were there. They also mentioned on their signage that they were not a fast food restaurant and it would take some time for a meal to be prepared. In our case that was not a bad thing as we were not in a particular hurry. The menu is fairly simple that offers a fair selection. I had the general chicken which was completely unlike any other general Chicken I’ve had any other place. It was delicious! There was a bit of a fruit taste to the sauce which was fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about the crab rangoon for the spring rolls either. Serving sizes were quite generous and we did not miss having a buffet. The service and staff were excellent. Unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants this one was not overly decorated. It was fairly plain and very clean.

Always fast and always friendly. Been the same staff for years and its nice to see that dedication to the restraunt. They must be doing something right! Good prices and great food! Love the crab rangoons and the meat is flavorful in the dishes they serve. We got combo fried rice and it was jam packed with chicken, shrimp, and pork plus lots of rice. I recommend you go try for yourself.

Food has Gone way Down Hill! My family and I have gotten Old Chicken, Bad Chicken, & Hard pieces of Chicken that aren’t Edible Numerous Times Lately! It’s a Hit & Miss! From the Honey Chicken to Sweet N Sour Chicken to Sesame Chicken ALL have Pieces you can’t eat! Going to have to Start making my own Chinese Food, Again, or Go to Springfield!

Still Delicious Chinese Food & the Chicken Fried Rice & Bamboo Chicken is Delicious, Too. Definitely the Best Chinese Food in Lebanon, Missouri. Especially, after Chen’s Now has New Owners who have Ruined the food. Recommend Bamboo Garden for Any & ALL Chinese Food!
Update: Delicious Sweet & Sour Chicken, Sesame Chicken, & General Chicken with Crab Rangoons. Great Service this time! Clean Restaurant Inside and Outside. Great Lunch Specials! Very Much Improved!
*Nothing bad, but nothing great. Service was lacking and waitress was absent for any refills, napkins, etc. Only came out from the back to seat you & take your payment at the end. It was impossible to get her attention. Now, they’ve SHUT DOWN the BUFFET, so Absolutely No Reason To Go & Eat there! Need to reopen the buffet or take down the sign.
Appreciate the owner’s comments & maybe it was an off day! Will try again sometime. At least, the inside is still open.
Update: Went there, again, and the drive thru was Closed 15 minutes before 9 PM. IF you stay Open until 9 PM, then you should be OPEN or change the hours!
Chen’s is OPEN until 9 PM & they have a BUFFET that’s Falsely advertised at Bamboo Garden!

The food is edible at best. Way overpriced for the quality and selection you get…paid over $30 for two people. Not worth it. Since they are the only buffet, they get away with pricing like that. Pathetic. They don’t offer a buffet to go either, so we were forced to dine in. Will not be going back. We will skip Chinese food all together if this is our only option.

Edit: tried it again because I’m all about second chances. Definitely will not be going back. If you’re going to serve overpriced food, at least make it good or make sure people get what they paid for. As in filling in the crab Rangoon. not one, not two, but three crab Rangoons have no filling at all . The lemon chicken has 0 lemon flavor. It was like eating bland jelly covered chicken. Wasn’t impressed before, definitely unimpressed now.

I have been going here for quite a while and both the service and the food quality has gone downhill. The portion size has gotten smaller as well for the same price and I even offered to pay extra for more but they refused saying they don’t have any containers (which they do if you buy a whole extra meal). Today the chicken was old tasting and very stale. The sauce was inedible (I only had like two bites). We were drive thru today but when we go in it’s hardly ever packed and the wait staff doesn’t come around that often. They are friendly sometimes when you dine in. But i noticed with me (to go or drive thru) it seems like an inconvenience for them. The restaurant though is very clean. While I have been going there for a while and always made an extra trip just to go here specifically, I don’t think I will be coming back for a while.
