Walking into Bambino’s New York Style Pizzeria feels like stumbling onto a cozy neighborhood slice shop where they still believe in big, messy, satisfying pizza. The smell of fresh-baked dough and melted cheese hits you the second you walk through the door. I came in hoping for a simple lunch, and what I got was a solid, filling meal and a comfortable little atmosphere.
I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and a side order of wings. The slice was big and generously topped — the crust had a nice crunch, foldable like a real New York slice, and the cheese stretched just right. The wings were a welcome bonus: crispy enough, with seasoning that hit the spot (though if you like extra spice or sauce, you might want to ask for a little more). The portions don’t mess around — everything felt hearty and meant for sharing or for a hungry appetite. That kind of generosity goes a long way, especially when you’re not trying to overthink it, just want good comfort food.
What felt most genuine here was the vibe. The staff greeted me with a friendly “hello” and some helpful recommendations. The place isn’t fancy — seating is a bit close, and parking has its quirks — but that adds to the charm. It feels like a down-to-earth joint where locals come to grab a slice or two and maybe catch a game. It didn’t feel pretentious or over-polished.
By the time I left, I felt satisfied in a low-key, content kind of way. It wasn’t fine dining, and it didn’t pretend to be. It was pizza done with care, served with straightforward friendliness, and that’s exactly what I wanted. If you’re ever near Augusta and craving a classic slice or a no-frills meal that hits the right spot, Bambino’s is worth checking out.

My husband and I moved into an RV several months ago. We decided to start a tradition where we order pizza from a local business when we get set up at a new place. Number 9 was Bambino’s Pizza in Augusta, GA. It was not the worst we’ve had, but far from the best. The crust was doughy, needed to be cooked a little longer, so it was not crisp. More greasy tasting than fresh. I’ve found that places with less than stellar ingredients tend to pile the toppings on, I guess to try to disguise a mediocre product. Service was good though with friendly staff.

Pizza was super greasy with no flavor, I couldn’t even pick up a slice without the bottom of it falling off because of the grease. Chicken tenders are the consistency of rubber. Fried mozzarella, again, tasted like straight grease and was soggy even being fresh, the marinara sauce is watery as well. The “cheese bread” was alright just pizza dough with cheese on it and sliced up. The fries were the best thing, in my opinion.

The pizza is ok. I’ve had real NY style pizza and this isn’t it. The dough will tell you all you need to know. It wasn’t crispy. Very sure as of it was undercooked. And it tastes sweet. It was ok. But $20 for a small pizza that tastes like school cafeteria, that’s not NY style in my opinion.

Yum, this pizza was very good. Yummy cheese and pepperoni also absolutely delicious fries. I was staying in Aiken and asked the locals where the best pizza was and they sent me all the way over to this place and they were correct. I give it an 8/10 on my perfect Pizza scale.

For someone that is from New York I thought this was going to be like a New York slice but it was not. before I got to the restaurant I thought I would save myself time and order online but it never allowed me to get to the point where I could enter my card information I even tried it from another phone and it’s still got stuck on loading and it never allowed me to pay for the order. So I get to the restaurant and I place the order and unbeknownst to me the prices online are different from the prices on their menu and in there system. for instance online when I tried to place the order the 10 wings said $11 yet when I got to the store I was charged $11.40 a slice of pizza online said 1.99 yet it rang up to be $2.06. And for another single slice upgraded to a specialty slice with meat lover and mushroom online the specialty meat lover part said a $1.25 yet in the store it was rang up for $1.30 I tried to order fried mushrooms online it said 4.99 But in store they charged me $5.17 and for the regular slice if I wanted to add mushrooms and onions it said $0.20 but then in store it rang up to be $0.2. this experience was disappointing and I was not thrilled with the pizza and the wings that I got garlic parmesan was salty. at least I can say I tried it and I can also say I will never go back or recommend this place, it was not for me especially when the prices were different than what I saw online compared to being in the store I’m glad that this restaurant exists for those that enjoy going there even though I did not enjoy my experience I do wish this business much continued success and being a pillar in the community for those that do love what you do.

The staff is polite, the food is great and the bathroom was super clean! Come in, seat yourself then order at the counter was very nice so we did not feel rushed.
Everything is a healthy portion at a nice price here, make sure to try the chicken alfredo with extra broccoli or just a plain cheese pizza. I bet it all tastes better than dominos!

The pizza does remind me of NY, nice flop, yum sauce and the owner and employees are cool people

Went to this place to get a pizza because of the reviews on Google for New York style pizza’s. I’m used to folding the slice into a V shape and crunching down on a crispy crunchy slice but as delicious as my pizza was, it was super floppy in the middle, making it impossible to fold. Delicious but floppy. I will be back because you can’t get a better pizza in Augusta Ga. My wife wanted a salad, so she opted for the Chef’s salad with ranch dressing & said it was very good .

So yesterday 5.2.24 was my first time eating Bambino’s I wanted something and that what I definitely got.
First off the cost of the beer whether draft or bottle the price was definitely reasonable ten stars for that
Second the wings definitely exceeded my expectations cooked and sauce to perfection for me I got to give shoutout to the sweet lady who took my order and recommended the teriyaki flavor and it did not miss either
Lastly, that pizza was better than any corporate pizza chain pizza I’ve ever had it been a while since I’ve had a real “Supreme” pizza you can definitely tell the veggies were cook throughout the pizza and not just thrown on top. The slices are definitely huge so I knew I couldn’t eat all three
For roughly $20 for 3 slices of pizza 5 wings and a beer definitely cannot bet that and I’ll be back again
