The food quality and service is excellent here. Really couldn’t fault it! Everything tastes different unlike some tandoori restaurant. I have only knocked a star off 5 stars because it was quite intrusive having people coming in and out to collect their take aways! Maybe an improvement would be to put the pickup point before the restaurant so people don’t have to walk through! It’s also worth nothing that they don’t serve alcohol so you’ll have to take your own if you want to drink! Would 100% recommend Balti Tandoori!

Had a takeaway last night and come from Four Marks one of the best currys I have had, really fresh ingredients, perfect balance of flavour and spice. It was hot and ready when stated and very good value, have tried others but there is no where as good as this place. Its my Go To place, keep on doing what you keep on doing ……..

We found this place on Google reviews as we are working away from home and fancied some spicy food so we decided to go for something to eat here based on fantastic feedback on Google reviews.
I can honestly say the food is exceptional with the type of flavours you would expect from a high end establishment.
If you are in the area then my advice would be to dine here and sample wonderful food.

Excellent food but has very few ‘covers’ maybe seats 10 – 12. Take away service means door opening & shutting frequently & those customers walking right by you.
Does not serve alcohol but take own & no corkage.
If the premises were bigger, it would be THE curry house to go to.

This is the third time that we have used Balti Tandoori and it has just got better and better. Tonight’s meal was fantastic! The Chicken Sizzler and Masala were superb. We will keep coming back as long as the food stays this good. Currently the best Indian in Alton.

Would rate it as my favourite Indian takeaway in Alton, food is always delivered quickly, nice and hot still when it arrives. You get the occasional time when something has been missed but that happens everywhere, unlike other places however they are willing to sort it out and give some free poppadoms with it

Used to be very good but has slipped markedly.
Dishes have a generic taste. Orders have to be checked as items are often omitted, discount for collection is occasionally not subtracted and (amazingly!) items from the tandoor oven have a very unpleasant taste to them almost as if they were prepared in a different vessel and sprayed with “liquid smoke”.
The latter is extremely disappointing as I used to greatly enjoy the shashlik.
Much room for improvement. At present the Curry Palace and Miftas are far better.

The resturant is quite snug so make a reservation to make sure you get a table. It is also quite hard to find but do try because you won’t be disappointed. The food is to die for. It’s also quite nice that the staff can’t do enough. Do note that as the resturant has changed from take a way, no licence is yet in place. But, don’t panic, the owner is happy for you to bring your own wine or beer.
