My son and I had a fantastic cuban sandwich and kids chicken and rice meal. The service was excellent and the server was help with the menu. Every staff member was friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in Ball Ground.

Food was great, atmoshere was nice, our server was not very attentive and did not seem like he wanted to be there. Requested no mustard or mayo on sandwhich, but was on there anyway, he said” oh, well she is new” and walked off. Did not offer to remake or even say i am sorry. Cuban sandwhich was good, but would have been better if they had left off the mayo and mustard as requested and added the pickle.

I had to delete my previous post as this GREAT place is under new management that cares!!! So great to see that there are some restaurateurs that have vision to provide some great options in our town! Warm welcome on arrival by the manager who not only seated us but was sure to drop by throughout our visit to check-in and make sure that everything was to our liking.
Very good, actual ‘tavern’ style menu. Options to suit anyone’s preference. I had the smash burger – which was an actual ‘smash burger’, unlike many places I have visited. Great flavor and well dressed. My partner had the fish and chips – very good as well and you could tell made fresh.
Will definitely be going back!
If you live in BG, you definitely need to support our local businesses, especially when they are this good. If you are not in BG but in the area, be sure to drop by, you will not be disappointed.

New ownership has renovated the inside and patio. New menu with fresh hot food. Everything I’ve had is delicious. Great drink selection. This is head and shoulders better than the old ball ground tavern.

Although we were not there for the atmosphere, which looks great , we ordered 2 French Dips , mozzarella sticks , and jalapeño poppers . The French dip(s) had no au jus ( x 2), the sandwich itself was so sweet and too done it was inedible . The mozorella sticks – the cheese was cold and hard. Everything was sweet or , under or over cooked , we couldn’t eat any of it. Which I hated , because we were wanting to try for awhile . We will never eat at this restaurant even if the atmosphere is good , the food is barely a 2, but more 1. All the flavors and cooking was way off . Maybe a different chef ? The manager should be aware.

I’ve worked in Ball Ground for over a year and never had the pleasure to give the Ball Ground Tavern a try. We had an early day so a coworker and I decided to stop on by. We decided in the wings which were absolutely brilliant. They hit the spot and the only thing that could make it better was a good drink and DAMN, the hibiscus margarita is something to tell your friend about. I wish they still did margarita flights but I guess I’ll just have to try one flavor after work until I try them all!

Used to order to-go from here about once a month. We heard they changed up the menu a bit so we took an out of town friend here this past weekend and it wasn’t even decent. I ordered a lemon drop martini and there was a dead bug in it, food was unseasoned(no one in our party was happy with their food, we all ordered different items). Then at one point our waiter brought us the wrong drink and once he realized it, he took it off the table, spilled the beer onto our friend’s plate and just walked away without acknowledging the spill. To make things worse, our bill was charged incorrectly and had to wait for them to fix the mistake. Overall the experience was bad. Won’t be ordering pickup or dining in again.

March 25, we stopped in for dinner and really enjoyed our visit. The service was great, the time from being seated, ordering and being served was great too.
Our food was good, I had the Mexican Burger and it was tasty and a good size. Maybe a little more guacamole on it would have been better.
Definitely going back!

So I’m always ready to try new places and we stopped by to have a quick bite before headed to the brewery. Ordered the French dip and empanadas. Empanadas were stale. French dip roast beef was over cooked. You never expect the sides to outshine the main entree, but the fries were really good. All I can say is we probably won’t be back. It’s just ok.

Only been open a week. Good burger and fries. Wife had the Southwest bowl and said it was good. They need to fix some of the listed prices on the menu: beer was listed as $15, when it was actually $6. I am sure they will smooth things out in a few more weeks. Glad to have a new place in Ball Ground.
