There are also vegeterian options and gluten free for those who wish.
This place always has a crowd, and there is a very good reason why. With beautifully designed artisanal drinks, outstanding appetizers and small plates, mouth-watering entrées, and delightful breakfast options, you just cannot go wrong with the menu. The only problem will be making up your mind! The prices are great, and the staff is friendly, too. The atmosphere is trendy, upscale-casual, and there is no shortage of amazing smells as soon as the door opens. This is a cozy place to take a date, and an impressive venue for a large group meeting. Overall, you just have to try it… and then again and again.
Obviously, for a restaurant named bakn, the featured ingredient is…bacon! There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including waffles, burgers, salads, and appetizers. There is an extensive bar, and some of the alcohols are bacon infused.
The venue is small but comfortable. Minimalist design is the order of the day here, but that’s not a detriment. There is both bar and table seating. On our recent visit, we didn’t wait at all, but I have driven by and seen lines with standing room only.
Both the wife and I tried the standard bakn burger when we were there. The burgers are cooked to order, and mine came out a perfect medium as requested. I really liked the addition of arugula rather than standard leaf lettuce. The burger was very tasty and large enough that I wasn’t tempted by dessert. I was slightly surprised, though, at only two strips of bacon. For a place named bakn, I’d have thought there’d be more. To be fair, though, these were actual strips of bacon..not the tiny pieces you would get at a fast food joint.
The included fries were tasty,, but nothing to write home about (IMO, they were screaming for some parmesan cheese..but I digress). My wife enjoyed the cole slaw she chose, stating it was very good and she would definitely order it again.
I would definitely recommend giving Bakn a shot. We plan to return to try some of the other menu items!
They could use a bit more lemon juice on the dressed greens though.
