Walked into Bakery Nouveau in Capitol Hill and immediately got distracted by the STUNNING sandwich display. The kind of case that makes you press your face a little closer to the glass like a kid at an aquarium.
Ordered a dirty chai and an egg salad croissant. Let’s talk about that croissant. Super crisp on the outside, soft and buttery inside, with egg salad that was creamy but not too heavy. It was DELICIOUS YALL!
Service was quick, the space was bright and inviting, and the whole experience started my day perfectly!
Capitol Hill is lucky to have Bakery Nouveau!

Bakery Nouveau is one of my favorite spots on Capitol Hill. The pastries are always top-notch—everything looks amazing, but the pound cake is my absolute favorite. It’s consistently busy, but the line moves fast and is well worth the wait. The sandwiches always catch my eye too… I haven’t tried them yet, but one day I will! A fantastic bakery all around.

One of my favorite bakeries in Seattle. This location can get a bit crowded at times, but the line usually moves quickly and the staff is friendly. I love their carrot cake, cookies, and breads…. But but honestly, pretty much all their pastries are amazing. I did try their pizza once and it wasn’t my favorite, but everything else keeps me coming back. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Cute bakery…would love it if they had some more vegan options. The zebra loaf and strawberry-rhubarb tart were delicious. Everything else not so much…the chai did not taste good…way too many spices, and neither did the macaroons. We tried the passion fruit, vanilla, pumpkin, and chocolate. The flavor was off and the texture was soft instead of crisp.

Lots of variety in the deserts but limited savory options. Definitely fancy deserts but on expensives side. I had cheese cake and large coffee was almost ($15+).
They don’t offer indoor seating. But you can sit in the small park right outside the store. Very busy neighborhood.
Unfortunately, there is no parking nearby apart from Safeway parking or street parking which is always full.

This place will always be my favorite. The twice-baked almond croissant—wow, so good. I’ve moved from Seattle, but I visit every month, and whenever I’m here, I have to stop by and grab some. I even take a few with me back to Dubai.

It was hard to choose just a few items from all of the gorgeous sandwiches, pastries, and more being offered. The brunch pizza is an excellent value. The cinnamon roll seemed to use a unique type of cinnamon and the donut we had was light and sweet. The croissants were just right. Wish there was a spot to sit and enjoy in the cafe, but on a nice day I suppose the park outside would work. We will be back for more!

Twice baked almond croissant: good, definitely would be better if it’s heated up and flakier.
Apricot brioche: not a fan, idk taste kinda weird. Like it has a bit of savoriness but then I’d expect it to be more of a sweet pastry given the apricot and cream cheese center.
There’s no seating area, but there’s a small park across with benches

This is a good Bakery with amazing desserts (they also have sandwiches and bread). The staff are very fast and efficient, and I enjoyed every dessert I purchased.

So I’ve been coming here for years and have noticed a decline in quality and service. In these times, I’d rather save $25 and make breakfast at home. Today we got the ham and cheese croissant and the junction croissant. The ham and cheese croissant was flimsy and underbaked. There were no layers like you’d expect when eating a croissant. Regarding service, I understand morning rushes are hectic and am not expecting staff to be all smiles. But two years ago, staff would put the junction sandwich in two bags because it didn’t fit in the box. Today they shoved it in the box, and the scrambled eggs fell out of the sandwich onto the bottom of box (the eggs were wet). This is on top of their uncoordinated flow of helping customers with their orders, and general vibe apathy and callousness.
