Fell in love with the bread first at a mill in darke county. Then found the actually bakery that makes the bread. Food is really good! Amazing sourdough and pumpernickel bread. The cherry almond cookie is my favorite item! My boyfriend said the Ruben is the best he has had in a while. My son is in love with the carrot cake! We don’t live in the area but have went twice. Happy both times! The staff are helpful and sweet. I will say if you get a sandwich and chips portions can be a little small for the price, but it is very delicious. You will want to watch the google busy live monitor. There isn’t much seating, if you expect to sit inside and eat. But we’ve not had an issue getting a seat by the time we get our food. We will be back for sure. The area around it is cute. Parking is in the street 🙂

Sourdough loaf tasted like Ether or kerosene!! Totally disappointed in this purchase and have plans to speak to management about it . I’d like them to taste what they sold me this should be fun. Even my neighbor tasted it and agreed.
Totally unacceptable!
The help in there was also rushing me . It was not a comfortable atmosphere at all. Huge crowds in all the wrong places.. felt like I was at an airport gate with no personal space at all.
People cough and there’s nowhere to turn without running into other people.. oh, let’s do t forget I was given the loaf after purchase to carry out and home in no outside bag to carry it in. I wouldn’t have minded as much if the bread wrapper itself was thicker than saran wrap density shaped in a loaf bag. All I could think about was this bread bag is thin as toilet paper and it’s going to rip for sure. I sure will never go there again and I’ll be happy to spread word to anyone who asks my opinion about this place.

Friday I stopped in and bought a lobster bisque soup to go and 2 cookies. Husband and I loved the cookies. But, the soup was terrible! They charged me $8 for container of creamy broth! NO lobster! NO texture! NO veggies or seafood. I guess when you get soup to go – they just ladle the runny part from the top. I’ve learned a lesson!

Sandwich was good, but check the pic that shows the small amount of chips! Not even a bag of chips is given. The Veg SW chili was about as good as a can of Campbell’s. But the kicker, only botled water a $1.50 @ bottle. No free water, unless you go to the bathroom and refill at the sink

A hidden gem! Their bread is delicious! (Though I usually bake my own, it was nice to try and tasted just like homemade bread) What you don’t see in the pictures is a frosted Cinnamon roll, my 4 year old couldn’t wait lol.

The lady working behind the counter was very patient, kind and helpful while my children’s eyes got bigger and bigger with each beautiful baked good they noticed as they made their decisions on what treats to take home and try. This was our first visit here and has already turned into a favorite.

We love Bakehouse Breads! They were making bread, so the place smelled heavenly. The food is always good. Love the opened faced egg sandwich.

The restaurant is beautiful, but very crowded and and a bit organized. If you are eating in the dining you expect to have people waiting for their carry out orders hovering around you. We were a carry out order. We were from out of town on our way to a function. I happen to be Gluten Free (Celiac) Bakehouse offers all sandwiches either on a bed of greens or a GF wrap. I made the mistake of getting the GF wrap. The wrap was like cardboard and had a terrible flavor. In fact my turkey sandwich had literally only 2 slices of turkey on it therefore it had no flavor. My sandwich had only one slice of cheese and the raspberry mustard was only at the bottom of my wrap . Sadly I paid $9.00 for this very sad wrap. It wasn’t worth it. When I pay this amount of money for a sandwich or wrap I expect much more meat and cheese. If you are GF I recommend not getting the GF wrap and getting it on the greens . Perhaps you will get more meat and cheese. (P.s. I unwrapped my sandwich to double check and it was literally only one slice of cheese and two slices of meat. I had to try to spread the raspberry spread with my finger since I was given no silverware).

My husband ordered the Grilled Ruben. It was so greasy that the butter had already leached through the entire sandwich wrap and the brown bag! We were surprised to find that the Bakehouse has not given us one single napkin!!!!!!! This was a carry out order! We were from out of town and had always wanted to try this place and thought we would take this opportunity while driving though Troy. Now here we are in our car with this greasy sandwich with no napkins, and a greasy bag to eat it on! Thanks!

What a major disappointment, and a Major waste of our money!!!! Might be a great place to purchase baked goods but will never take the chance on a meal again

Have picked up some baked goods from here. Knowing they also offer breakfast and lunch I decided to have lunch with a friend. We split the roast beef sandwich. Excellent quality, relaxed atmosphere, and great service!
