In 2012, Brittany and Andy Hoover took a chance that not too many people would have taken. With a family of six, Andy worked in construction and Brittany was a stay-at-home mom. One day Brittany went to the grocery store to purchase some apples to make apple pie. Brittany had previously attended culinary school. That evening she made the pie and after the first taste, Andy knew that everyone needed to try it. So they shared the pie with close family and friends. Everyone enjoyed the pie so much and encouraged them to start the business. They started the business by selling various baked goods at a few local stores and doing small fundraisers.

Oh. My. God. I will be back here. I didn’t get any baked goods. Weird, right? But I did get a cold brew coffee with recommended flavors and the maple bacon glazed breakfast sandwich. It’s like a McGriddle on steroids and 100% better and tastier. Can’t wait to try more stuff from here. I’m from Altoona, but would make the drive to eat here again.

I usually love this place! The baked goods, grinders, and subs are fantastic! However, today I decided to get something different. The service was very fast and kind, but the sandwich I received was inedible. The appearance of the BLT was perfect, it looked amazing. I took a bite and the entire thing was slimy and soggy. The lettuce was very wilted and combined with bad tomatoes and hot mayo and 3 small slices of bacon, I couldn’t eat it. Maybe someone else would enjoy it, but not for me. That being said, I will still go back for their other items!
