Man I love BAKAN, it exports me to Mexico City and the high end restaurants out in Poblado. My second time here, and I love the modern twist in the Mexican dishes starting with the plating and edgy touches to the mole and other dishes. Flavors are rich, having traveled to Oaxaca – I know great moles! BAKAN definitely is wonderful with its atmosphere and amazing dishes – pictures below is what we had for dinner.

Bakan is a great spot for dinner, but especially better for happy hour. If you come on a Tuesday, it’s $5 tacos and you can’t go wrong. The food is authentic and flavorful, with a large menu and options to choose from. But my favorite part was the drinks – both the Michelada and Margarita were fantastic. Also, the churros are to die for, so make sure to order dessert!

Love this place! The margaritas are to die for. The atmosphere is such a vibe with dim lights and great music that isn’t too loud so you can have conversation! Also they brought churro for my friends birthday! The churros were amazing, don’t skip on it.

I celebrated my birthday at Bakan in Miami, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a perfect place to celebrate.
Our server, Cece, was amazing—attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly special throughout the night.
We started with the Queso Fundido con chorizo, which was very tasty and full of flavor. The drinks were good and well-made, but the real star of the night was dessert. The churros were the best I’ve ever had—crispy, warm, and absolutely unforgettable.
Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. I highly recommend Bakan and would definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bakan. The layout and ambiance are top-tier. It’s easily one of the most beautiful spots in Wynwood. They nailed the open air, earthy feel without forcing it. The service was excellent and the quality of the food and drinks actually matched the aesthetic. Everything we ordered was beautifully crafted and tasted as good as it looks. It’s a great setting for a night out and we will definitely return.

Superb modern cuisine that integrates a lot of Mexican and South American ingredients. Good options for people with gluten sensitivity. Home-made corn tortillas, fantastic ceviche, seafood, steak, guacamole and chips, and things like tacos and enchiladas. For the adventurous eater they’ve got a few insect and huitlacoche dishes. For the more conservative they also have great steaks. The whole menu has a curated selection of mezcal (and maybe tequila) pairing recommendations. Also a wonderful atmosphere and attentive staff.

Bakan is an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Wynwood district. It has a lovely covered outdoor area, and very nice decor. Someone recommended it because of the los insectos on the menu, which I didn’t get, but they are also known for their homemade blue corn tortillas and wood fired meats. Our server Denzel was awesome. I’d definitely come back.

This is one of those rare reviews where ATMOSPHERE will be the prime focus. I’m eating outside in their covered but VERY NICELY DONE patio which has tons of cactus and greenery and natural real wood tables and hanging baskets. While the food was amazing and gluten free for my celiac son, the vibe here was just perfect. Would gladly return.
