I visited during a holiday weekend, and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn’t as crowded as other spots in the area. One of its best features is its location right in the heart of downtown, though parking can be a challenge. Another plus is that they welcome dogs on a leash at their outdoor tables.
The food was good and the prices are fair for the area, huge portions but the service was very slow we waited over 40 minutes for our meals. We ended up staying mainly because we had our dog with us and didn’t want the hassle of finding another place.

Made Google reservations, showed up and the hostess seemed confused and immediately said that the kitchen wasn’t even serving food for 20 minutes. I was put off and we left but since it was Valentine’s Day, everything had a 45+ wait time. We went back, the now host said the kitchen wouldn’t have food for 45 minutes now but we were quickly helped by seemingly the only coherent staff member in the building, his service was great and he was well tipped. The food was awful for the price. The oysters were warm even on a bed of ice, with some limes thrown on top for nearly $40. I gagged through the first one but thought maybe it was the sauce I had added, nope they were borderline inedible and tasted like they would surely give you food poisoning. The coconut shrimp was alright, that was pretty much all I could eat anyway. We also got the carne asada plate which was ~edible~ just terrible and also $25. The drinks were great, the one waiter was great and comped the oysters. Even then, $100 tab and I went back to the hotel and threw up. Don’t recommend.

Baja Mar is my favorite restaurant in Flagstaff, they have the best and most authentic ceviche. The drinks are amazing, I love the house margarita.
The owners are such kind and caring people who make you feel like family!

Waited over 20 minuets for a drink that was all ice and both of us agreed had absolutely no alcohol in it. Decided after this we weren’t going to eat anything as it was overpriced. No wonder they were so empty, do not recommend.

An overall underwhelming restaurant. The cheese dip tasted like they just melted a block of white Velveeta cheese. For a seafood place, their pickings are slim. Based on the cheese dip, we opted for something safe – the cheeseburgers. Unfortunately, they were just as bad. The cheese tasted like Velveeta cheese again. The french fries were obviously frozen since we could taste the wheat in them, and since we weren’t asked how we like our burgers cooked, we’re assuming they were premade & frozen too. Honestly not sure if anything in this restaurant is prepared fresh. Our food definitely wasn’t.

We did a quick little staycation up in flagstaff and ended ip having so much fun at this bar! The bar manager was so friendly and let us try a bunch of the upcoming holiday drinks he was creating. We had 3 of them and they were all hits! If you’re coming to flagstaff for the holidays and want a cozy bar with amazing drinks, good prices, and a super friendly atmosphere, this is the place for you! We will absolutely be going back and will highly recommend to our family and friends!

Walked in and the owner welcomed me and even shook my hand. Ordered some amazing shrimp, and the carne asada plate. Both were amazing with great authentic flavors!
The salsa to the chips was delicious!
The only thing I would recommend, is the service could have been a little better, but I appreciate how the owner was professional and friendly!

I have been waiting for their google page to go live just to write this review, because it honesty doesn’t get better than this! For fresh seafood in the downtown area, the prices are very reasonable and the food has been great the three times we have been since they opened. The service is also great, with the staff being very friendly and attentive. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing our friends here in the future.
