My husband and I had a Long 3 weeks. Miscarriage, family drama and my parents splitting up. All while having to do a trip we had planned months in advance to visit in-laws that we only get to see once a year. We had just gotten back from the visit in New jersey and were on our long car ride home to Forks. Just got off a 6 hour flight with 2 kids. Emotionally and physically exhausted and hungry for something really good. We don’t get to treat ourselves that often so while on the ferry to Bainbridge we found this. I’m Spainish and love cooking spanish so when we saw the reviews about how good this was, we thought, what the heck, let’s do it! When we stepped in I was so nervous about how fancy it was and how bored our 2 boys were… so I was going to just set us on the outside tables to not disturb the inside atmosphere, but the hostess invited us in with enthusiasm. Set the boys up with crayons and paper. I’m and artist, so it was a treat to look at the beautiful pieces inside. The food was absolutely delicious, the perfect heat, cooked to perfection. The wine was amazing. Our boys liked what they had (and my youngest did end up finishing his leftovers when he got home.) We all loved what we got and it was a much needed treat for our souls! ❤️ thank you for making a stressed family feel comfortable and not rushed. It really meant a whole lot.
We will definitely be coming back in the future!

If you’re looking for an evening that feels effortlessly chic yet warmly welcoming, Bainbridge Bistro absolutely delivers. From the moment you step inside, the ambience strikes that rare balance between sophisticated and inviting — soft lighting, elegant design touches, and a polished atmosphere that still feels comfortable enough to linger over conversation.
What truly elevates the experience is the service. The staff manages to be both impeccably professional and genuinely friendly, creating a personal connection without ever feeling intrusive. You’re not just another table — you’re treated like a valued guest whose experience truly matters.
And then there’s the food. Each dish is beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that feel refined yet satisfying. The menu showcases careful attention to quality ingredients and technique, resulting in meals that are memorable from first bite to last.
Altogether, it’s a place where style, warmth, and culinary excellence come together seamlessly — perfect for a special night out or any time you want dining to feel a little extraordinary. ✨

Hands down one of the best restaurants on Bainbridge Island! My husband and I had such a great experience here and if you’ve been to Spain, this place is just as good, (dare I say) even better than some of the places we went to in Santander and Madrid. I believe the owner of the restaurant was our waitress and she was so nice and helpful in guiding us on the menu. She made a phenomenal recommendation on a bottle of wine. If you like Pinot Noir, definitely get the Castro Ventura. We ordered an assortment of tapas. Tapas are like appetizers/small plates and when you order a few it can be made into a meal. Can’t say enough how delicious the food is and out of what we ordered, our favorite is the gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp.) All of it tasted fresh and very flavorful. You’ll just have to try it yourself. Overall, if you want to transport yourself to Spain, come here! We highly recommend!

Excellent tasting food! Portions were great. We ordered 4 items and were full and everything tasted delicious. Drinks were great too! There was a mix up with our order but the owner (i think) went above and beyond to make up for that. Definitely recommend!!

We ordered three dishes for the two of us and were stuffed by the end of the meal: Manchego cheese and membrillo (quince paste) with olive oil on bread, a lamb mini pita piled so high I had to use a knife and fork, and clams con chorizo, which was a big meal by itself. Delicious!
Soft jazz. Attentive servers. Beautiful art. It’s SO relaxing.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in Spain recently and really enjoy the Spanish cuisine, most of all tapas. The first time I came here I had the lamb lollipop over potatoes bravas, which was so good I could eat this every time. The next time I had the paella. A few months ago I had been in Valencia, the birthplace of paella, and I swear what I had here surpassed what I had in Valencia. On top of that, the wines were great, as well as the sherry and vermouth.

THIS is the place we’ve been waiting and longing for since Hitchcock Cafe closed many moons ago. Hallelujah!
Food: exquisite. We thoroughly enjoyed the salmon chowder, burrata salad, mushroom ravioli, lobster risotto, and pork tenderloin w/ chickpeas and chorizo. Hearty and flavorful – perfect food for a fall/winter evening.
Wine pairings and cocktails: delightful. An Old Fashioned that rivals next door (Islander) Chestin’s benchmark cocktail along with a perfect Sauvignon Blanc recommendation for the lobster risotto.
Service: perfection. Think Canlis-meets-your-favorite-neighborhood-cafe where the owner remembers your name, cares enough to get to know you – without being nosy, and has you leaving feeling like THIS is your new favorite local place. Owner Sonja was our sever and she was absolutely fabulous!
Atmosphere: inviting and relaxed. We love a place that lets us dine with our dog on a patio. Bainbridge Bistro has the BEST fall/winter ‘patio’ ever – it’s inside the Bainbridge Pavilion lobby area! How great is that? No matter what the weather, we have a place we can dine with our dog. There are just 3 tables on the patio but 2 of them seat 4 people.
Overall, we loved our experience at Bainbridge Bistro. Everything, including the pacing, could not have been better. Can’t wait to return!!

Gazpacho was amazing, spanakopita was the best I’ve ever had. The service was warm and heartfelt. It’s a little strange that patrons of the Islander have to go through BT to reach it, as I think the owners and chefs could easily fill a detached restaurant of their own, though it seems to just be a function of the layout of the building.
Overall a memorable experience with absolutely stellar food, I’ll be recommending BT to anyone visiting the island!
