Delicious fresh food, locally farmed, and creative! I met my mother and sister for lunch, we had so much fun, the food was amazing, the staff was very friendly and informative, we chatted with our neighbors, it was a really great time!
12/2025 my family met at Bailey’s to celebrate my mother’s birthday and we had a great time, the atmosphere at Bailey’s is festive, the staff is so nice.
We all enjoyed our food very much, the menu has so many choices and I can’t wait to return to try the Scallop Ceviche… today I had the Turkish Eggs and they were phenomenal. I also had a virgin Bloody Mary which was really delicious, they make it themselves.

Everything was insanely delicious from start to finish. The whipped feta with pickled strawberries was creamy, tangy, & the toast points perfectly crunchy; the lamb bucatini was flavorful, pasta cooked to perfection, the burrata a wonderful addition; the drunken noodles an explosion of flavor. We finished with the black forest cannoli which was absolutely incredible, the cherry flavor was rich, the Nutella & Cannoli cream perfect without being too much. The best part may have been our waiter, TJ. He was helpful & charming & made us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back! (Pictures of the entrees, we ate the app & dessert too fast for pic)

Ate outside on a lovely summer evening. The food, service and ambiance were all perfect. We started with the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts and Rice Crusted Ahi Tuna. Both were amazing! I ordered the burger (not on the menu) and it was fantastic! My husband loved his halibut special. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often but it’s worth the drive.

It’s been a few years since we’ve been and I sadly have to downgrade my review. We were seated for about 15 minutes when we were asked hurriedly if we wanted drinks and that someone would be with us shortly. Drinks came but it took about half an hour from when we arrived for our order to be taken. We watched tables around us seated at the same time have orders taken and their delicious corn bread served while we sat. Seems we were ignored or forgotten about.

Food came quickly after the order had been taken but the long overdue date night with the wife was degraded by then.

Food was good. Drinks were ok.

What a gem! This place was absolutely great. The restaurant is very cozy, really good vibes from the minute you get in. They started us off with some warm cornbread, it was nice and warm and tasted so good! For our appetizer we had the burrata which was absolutely delicious. I had for my lunch the Philly Cheesesteak which must have been the best cheesesteak I have eaten outside of Philadelphia. The steak was so tasty and flavorful and plentiful. It was served with peppers and onions with a little jalapeño kick. I truly enjoyed it. My girlfriend had the apple/Brie panini and she absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. The servers were excellent. They were quick and attentive, offering great suggestions.

Not only is Bailey’s one of the best farm-to-table restaurants in the Tri-State area, but they also offer the best catering services. Sal, Forrest, and the team at Bailey’s were nothing short of an absolute pleasure to work with. We first visited their restaurant as paying guest to make sure the food was a good fit for our wedding and we were blown away. We knew then they were the vendor for us and we hired Bailey’s Backyard to cater our June 2023 wedding. Their service, food and hospitality was exceptional and from the moment we first contacted Sal to the end of our wedding, Bailey’s were there to cater to our needs. After a few emails and texts back and forth we had a quick call to discuss the food and drink menu choices we would like to see. Sal and Forrest came back with the most incredible array of options that we really didn’t change much from the first draft. Any and all changes we did request were no problem at all and easily catered by the team. Our menu included mini fish and chips, sushi, brisket sliders, meatballs, smoked salmon cones, crabcakes, spring rolls, filet mignon, salmon, chicken and vegetable tagine, nothing was off limits for Baileys and they excelled in all areas. Once we locked in the menu, they invited us in for a tasting and it was some of the best food we had ever eaten. You might think its easy to be great in a restaurant and the food wont live up to expectations at private residence, but with Bailey’s you would be wrong. The exact same incredible quality was there on our wedding day with many, if not all guests talking about how great the food was. Bailey’s also catered the bars and made the best signature cocktails ensuring all our guests needs were met at all times. We could not recommend Baileys more highly and if you’re in the Ridgefield area stop by their restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Went here with a party of 5 for a belated mother’s day lunch. Staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, and the ambiance inside was very inviting and clean. It was a hot late May day and it was slightly warm even indoors but not enough to be bothersome. Everyone was very happy with their food! I had the salmon BLT, two people had the fried chicken sandwich, one person had the tofu scramble, and one had the shrimp lettuce wraps — we all licked our plates clean!! The fries were a huge hit!! Definitely recommend this place, it was very comfortable and would be a lovely setting for a date, work meal, etc. Will be back!

We went for the second time on a Wednesday where they have the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was exquisite but a couple of the portions were very small, especially the scallops. But we look forward to doing it again well on the next special occasion.

They don’t have a lot of vegan options. What they have is top quality however. Under warm dim lights with a pleasing candle we ordered the vegan apple crisp to share and enjoyed it. Topped with a smooth vegan ice cream using vanilla beans and then imbued with granola inserted moments before it came to our table. The granolas sharp crunch had an excited contrast with floral flavor. Overall impressive for a dessert of any diet.
The bottomline is that baileys makes an excellent date once in a while. When there are more vegan options on the menu we’ll be back.

June 2023 –  Bailey’s was back to 2020 in terms of menu and food. Offering a choice of small tables for two, we thought it would be memorable to sit in the one on our first visit here.

Best dish ordered: Roasted Copps Island Oysters. Melted in our mouths like warm butter. After dinner, I said we should have ordered six of these. The cornbread is no longer served table side but still complimentary. We enjoyed the “Diver Scallop Paella” and “Prime Seared Skirt Steak.” Expensive but worth it.

* Ed. Note: my last review of Bailey’s after writing a long update online and not saving it as I do regularly now, disappeared before posting and naturally I wasn’t too happy so I left some details out.

Second visit here was good. Same pleasant atmosphere, service and complimentary corn bread and warm syrup. Two nice special menu drinks: Gin in Pink with Empress gin and Ballard. No new apps called our name as the prior visit’s scallops with cauliflower. They were out of the salmon and duck.

The star dish was the braised beef short rib. On the first bite, my mouth exploded with flavor. The rabbit dish wasn’t what my partner ordered and enjoyed before. We didn’t bother to look at the new description of this entrée, as we assumed it was the same. It’s now braised rabbit Pappardelle – shredded meat with a broth, more like a pasta dish or stew.

2/2020 – This was a real find that my partner chose before a show at the Ridgefield Playhouse nearby. Everything was absolutely delicious. Friendly service. The interior is intimate with two rooms, wood floors, tables and black leather booths.

We had a choice of getting the chef’s four course dinner for $40. PP on a Wednesday, with the option of adding a bottle of wine for $20. or ordering from their regular menu. Looking over the chef’s choices, which were fine, we chose to order from the main menu, mostly because we wanted to try the soup our waitress said was really good.

It was chowder with seafood sausage. The creamy base coated the pieces of lobster, sausage and slivers of crisp slab bacon perfectly. This is definitely one of the best soups I’ve ever had in any restaurant, or home for that matter.

A tin bowl of bread was brought to the table and the waiter told us he was pouring a mix of warm molasses and butter over the three slices. I was disappointed at first, not sure if this was what I wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was like eating a little warm bar of French toast. Not sure if it was cornmeal or a mix of flour and cornmeal, but it was the perfect choice. We loved it.

Our scallop with cauliflower puree starter was another dish that just kept wowing us as the meal continued. The braised scallops had creamy interiors with crisp exteriors. I didn’t know if the cauliflower was the right vegetable to pair with the scallops, but like with the bread, the chef surprised me with how well it complimented them. Using both purple and white cauliflower gave the appetizer the right contrast in terms of presentation. This is now my third favorite scallop dish here in Connecticut.

My entrée of pan seared salmon on saffron risotto with butternut squash was equally impressive. The salmon was incredibly moist and tender.

My partner was thrilled they had rabbit on the menu, as it’s a favorite of his and hard to find on menus these days. The loin was wrapped in bacon and the leg was served along side it. Squares of tiered carrots decorated the plate. He said it was perfectly cooked. My bite made me think maybe I could eat rabbit!

Our drinks, one from the special menu with gin, St. Germain and a lemon twist served in a martini glass, and the second from a small batch local rum with club soda and lime served in a mason jar, were well made. Good pours and the martinis very flavorful.

We passed on dessert but the manager said the Smores cake was his favorite. There also was a pan baked warm chocolate chip cookie, sorbet and a few other unique choices. We will absolutely enjoy dining here again when we’re in the neighborhood. If we lived closer, it would be a regular spot.
