Bagels-4-U of Short Hills

  4.2 – 544 reviews  $ • Breakfast restaurant

Bagels-4-U bagels are kettle boiled and made from the highest quality ingredients. Did you know that our company is one of the last few companies in the country still making hand rolled, artisan quality bagels? While we all adjust to modern times by constantly improving our services, nothing beats the old-fashioned flavor of crafted products. Baked fresh, and welcoming you warm from the oven, our bagels are baked to perfection with an almost crunchy outside and soft chewy inside. Just the way they are supposed to be. We roll a variety of flavors which may vary from bakery to bakery and add to them high quality seeds to create a marvelous combination of healthy and savory bagels.

This place is extremely busy, but they keep everything moving as efficiently as possible. The prices are a little bit on the high side for me. All I got was a plain bagel, toasted with cream cheese, and a large black coffee, a plain croissant with bacon, egg and cheese which was 20 bucks. The bagel was pretty good. The croissant, bacon, egg and cheese was OK. Overall if I had to make one critique, it would be that the staff had a little bit of an attitude, not warm, especially at 11 AM in the morning the big rush was gone but that’s just me

We’ve been here twice and it was very busy both times. I guess this shop is great evidence of the importance of location because their bagels are some of the worst I’ve EVER had in the NY/NJ region.

This place is survived by its bagels… It’s really upsetting when the cashiers are scrambling around taking orders and charging customers at the same time. Whoever was the genius behind this is an idiot. You should put 2-3 workers taking orders and 2-3 workers finalizing and charging customers so that there isn’t confusion or an overcrowd…. The nature of my frustration started when I asked the young lady at the register if you do platters, she asked her supervisor I assume and said yes. I ordered 3 scrambled eggs with diced tomatoes and onions and 1 wheat toast…. I get this(see picture). I then question it and the response I get was hilarious, “we don’t do that”. Where’s my toast? SMH.

By far the best bagels around. Best for buying whole bagels and eating at home. Their sandwiches can be greasy / are not the selling point here. The bagels themselves, however, are truly excellent!

Fresh and delicious bagels. BEC sandwiches are filling and cheesy. Service is quick and attentive. Easy access to nearby highways and parking is great. Only feedback is to have restrooms.

Such great bagels! So amazing when you see them coming out fresh! Kids love the cinnamon burst (not raisin fans) and the raspberry. I’m all about the jalepeno bagel with taylor ham, egg, and cheese….all the calories you need for a week.

Best bagels in NJ, hands down. The line is always long. Annoying but understandable as it’s a super popular place to get bagels.

I’ve had my share of bagel stores and like the reviewer below stated, they are expensive. For the price you pay, one would expect top notch bagels regardless of what kind you order. Ordered a raisin bagel with cream cheese. Well, I think I need a new pair of teeth. Really? And where’s the cream cheese? See picture for yourself.

$14 for two very small bagels. Service is also extremely slow – 30 minute wait! I can’t justify coming back here because the service is without a smile and the food is overpriced for meager portions. No salt on everything bagel either.

Extremely Overpriced! Paying 10 dollars for a bacon egg and cheese is highway robbery. Wouldn’t be surprised if this place went out of business one day.
