Went to visit my hometown bagel store after 20 years. The bagels are just as I remembered. Large, crusty and chewy. I brought home two dozen. They were so accommodating! Sliced and in freezer bags so I didn’t have a hassle after my long trip.
They even helped me carry my things to the car!
Don’t sleep on the cookies! Best black and whites I’ve ever had ever. Nothing has compared.

I got my usual a roll with roast beef, Muenster cheese, lettuce tomato and mayo. I grabbed a cherry ginger ale. Telling the sandwich was delicious You can’t go wrong it was really just the price. It was 15 bucks for a sandwich roll and a soda. Maybe I’m just used to it being just under 10 bucks, but I feel like it’s just a little pricey.
Overall I can not knock the sandwich. It was just the price that was unattractive to me, personally.

First time order: Flagel lacked flavor. Ice tea was not typical deli iced tea, tastes like Lipton, just not my favorite. Paid for extra bacon, hardly one soggy slice on BEC. Will not be a repeat customer.

I love these bagels! They are my favorite. I love that they aren’t too toasty or too soft, just that perfect in-between consistency. My personal favorite is the everything bagel, but truly they’re all great. Highly recommend!

Great Bagels and sandwiches. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Only complaint is their service. I usually avoid this place in the morning during their busy time simply because of the way they seem to operate. If 3 people order BEC’s all 3 employees will be in the back making sandwiches. If you happen to just want to stop in and order a coffee or a plain bagel, you have to wait for everyone in the kitchen. I’ve walked in and waited for 5+ minutes without seeing an employee many times. It would seem that one person could make the egg sandwiches while the other 2 help other customers or take orders.

Top 2 bagel spot in merrick. First time back in years and still probably the best bacon,egg, & cheese on a bagel Ive ever had. Standard bagels with cream cheese are delicious as well.. cept everything is a bit pricy.
