I came in about 2 weeks ago and got the same order I almost always get. I take a sip of my coffee and it tasted oddly sweet and a little cloudy for a black coffee (we’ll get back to that) but I let it go assuming maybe it was just brewed wrong or they gave me a different coffee by mistake. I get to work and start eating my sandwhich and I find myself chewing on the longest piece of hair possible. I know it wasn’t mine because my hair is a completely different color and length. I wrote an email to the store regarding it. About an hour passes and the ice melts in my coffee, and the condensation goes down and I finally see what I’m tasting in my coffee.. I see this white stuff floating in my coffee. A lot of it. Not bottom of the barrel coffee grounds. White fluffy stuff. I wrote a second email to them because I don’t think I could be any more disgusted after the hair I had in my mouth prior, but I was.

I didn’t get a response so I called the store for a few days and never got a hold of anyone. When I finally did they took down a note and said the manager would call me back but never did. I did eventually get a response to one of my emails.. they were telling me about their catering service.. in response to the disgusting meal I just told them about. I responded and still haven’t heard anything

I understand this place is unbelievably packed the entire time they’re open every day, so I gave them some grace and time. Especially with the holidays here. But I think considering the two whole health violations in one meal that they should take this a little more seriously. The lack of care is crazy here. I’m hoping this review will bring some more attention to the managers because I would still like a response and a refund for the food and drink I never even got to have

I had my mom order online today, as we usually go to drive thru, but we had four sandwiches and drive thru has a limit of three— it’s been like that for as long as I can remember(like 8-9years maybe?) and unfortunately they didn’t have my bagel flavor. They substituted for plain as it said on their website when she was ordering so it wasn’t what I hoped for, but still delicious. I decided to get a dozen bagels in the express line when I picked up my order, and was pleasantly surprised by the sign that I could also get my coffee I forgot to order. The staff was really working hard and I don’t know how they do it all!!! Tips for drive thru- Friday through Sunday three sandwiches only, including bagels with cream cheese, something about the town police making them do it(?), order online (send messages in their app for substitute bagels, learned this today), and hit the express line for a dozen bagels or some coffees. Overall, positive experience and I really don’t understand the hate. But some people need coddling I suppose.

I visited after reading several Reddit posts exclaiming that Bagel World offers some of the best bagels in MA. The service was quick, prices were affordable, and they offered several interesting flavors like french toast, asiago everything, and more. Overall, the bagels were solid. I’m not quite at the best bagels in MA, but definitely really good. I would definitely visit again. They also have a drive thru!

The food is amazing but the drive thru system doesn’t make sense. Why do you have two lanes when you only have one speaker? So what is the point to be in line for 10min when someone can cut you on the right because there’s a “second lane”? Now I understand why bagel world is not busy as they were.

Average bagel sandwiches.

Ordered a poppy bagel, received bagel with no poppy seed.

Drive through and pickup logistics are a nightmare. No signs telling you pickups are inside only. Two drive through lanes that converge to one. People parked cannot leave because of the two lanes blocking them in.

Feel fine waiting half an hour to get a toasted bagel? The this is the place for you.

Has anyone been to Beyond Bagels in north reading? Just as good. And no line. Only reason I came here was because it’s open on Sunday.

This place was PACKED so be ready for at least a 20-ish minute wait on the weekends. There was a line of ~30ish people inside and maybe 12 cars outside so the drive through was actually faster but at first glance the drive through looks intimidating. We had one person wait in line and one in drive through to confirm this. We came around 12:30 on a Sunday and there was a lot they didn’t have left (like chive cream cheese, everything bagel, etc) The cream cheese amount in the sandwich itself was the smallest amount I’ve seen from a bagel place (and I don’t love a lot of cream cheese so that says a lot) so might be worth to get extra on the side if your prefer a lot of cream cheese in your sandwich. They did forget a tub of cream cheese that we ordered so just double check your items because they are very busy.

It’s a bagel shop, not fine dining. So, from my limited experience with bagel shops: the bagel sandwiches were as good as any that I’ve eaten and dining area is simple. The big plus is how friendly the service is. They strive to remember your name. That creates community and loyal customers.

I love the bagels here, very rare to find bagels this fluffy in MA. The staff is also so nice. It’s a trip for me to come here but it’s worth it in my opinion. Last time I dined in and also ordered a hot chocolate. I was waiting for it to cool down when a staff came and actually brought me another hot chocolate cause he said he noticed this one came out better. Who does that! That was so nice and shows how much the staff cares.

Bagel World in Peabody has the best bagels I’ve ever had — truly top quality. However, during my visits on Oct 2 and 3 (around 7:14 to 7:30 A.M.), I witnessed the manager acting unprofessionally — once waving a knife while talking to staff and another time belittling an employee in front of customers. Great food, but management needs training on professionalism and communication. With better leadership, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

Literally waited 45 minutes for a pickup order of 1 bagel and a coffee. Employees were rude when I asked if it was almost ready. The online ordering was literally slower than it would’ve been to wait in line or wait in the drive through. If youre gonna order you better be ready to wait an hour to pick up! Literally had to leave without my order because it took so long.
