As always, this place serves an impressive array of complimentary side dishes—so many that we were almost full before our sushi platter even arrived. I took photos of every dish because they were beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. The sides were included with our omakase set for two, and I genuinely enjoyed each one. Paired with sake, the entire experience felt indulgent, and satisfying.
Not a fancy place but a very good place for good food, lots of food, and good time.

Came here because the place next door was packed and decided to give BadaStory a try.We ordered the two-person set.The sashimi was decent and fresh but nothing memorable. There was a live seafood sashimi platter with items like abalone and oysters. The texture was crunchy but the flavor was quite mild and lacked sweetness so I would not recommend that part. The set comes with a lot of small dishes and the portion is large but overall it felt more like a collection of casual side snacks rather than standout dishes. We were asked whether to have the soup served or packed to go and chose to take it home.Surprisingly the kimchi soup we reheated the next day ended up being the most satisfying item of the whole meal.Warm comforting and well balanced. That was the highlight for us.

The sashimi was fresh 🙂
I was deciding between assorted sashimi and live fish sashimi, and I kind of regret choosing the live fish.
The salmon seemed a little fishy
Overall, the side dishes were tasty, and the staff were friendly
I took the spicy fish stew home 🙂

We love that we can just order a set menu so we don’t have to think of what to order. It comes with lots of food that fits both kids and adults. Little kids can eat the fish tempura, cheese corn, steam eggs, pancake while adults can enjoy the boat of sashimi, spicy seafood stew that comes with white rice, fried whole fresh fish, tempura hand roll, soup, squid. We are 2 families (3 kids and 5 adults) and we basically can order a 3-4 person set meal and order 3 extra sushi rolls. Note that if you pay with credit card you need to pay tax and need to charge several % fees together with gratitudes, but if you pay with cash, you don’t have to pay tax.

Delicious food at this restaurant, especially high quality of fish.
We liked the sushi, but the grilled fish was the star. Lunch sets were a great value, dinner is much more expensive.

The Tiger Roll is a must-try. Be sure to order the sake as well—the presentation is excellent and makes the experience even better

I love this place even more than Bada Story at Englewood Cliffs. The manager is super friendly, and the food is always excellent! Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth the time we spent there. Live octopus was definitely the start of the night!

Tried Bada Story in Fort Lee for Korean-style sashimi, and overall it was a great experience. The raw fish was fresh, well-prepared, and the variety of banchan made it feel like a proper Korean sashimi meal.

That said, the vegetables, especially the greens and wraps, were noticeably dry and felt a bit past their prime, which took away from the otherwise well-executed dishes. Hopefully just an off day, because everything else was solid.

Would still recommend for the sashimi and overall quality, but a little more attention to the freshness of the veggies would make a big difference.

Fantastic Korean sashimi. Great for groups. Top notch service and quality food. I’ve been looking for the live octopus dish for so long ever since my husband told me about it 4 years ago. Well, I finally found it here! And it was delicious.
