Bad Brad’s Bar-B-Q is locally owned and operated serving Oklahoma-Texas style Bar-B-Q with a long standing tradition of smoking meats the old fashion way. By that, we mean we use no electricity or gas to operate our all wood fired pits creating an unbeatable heavy smoke flavor on all of our meats. We use dry rubs and regional woods to bring out the best flavor in all the meats we smoke. We offer down home, laid back, rustic atmospheres with each location being unique. We strive to buy local as much as possible to support other local small businesses. Each store proudly supports the local churches, schools and community programs.

I finally made it over to this restaurant. I’ve heard only positives about the food and the staff so, I had to try this place. They did not disappoint. We went in starving and left stuffed and with left overs. The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. The staff was kind and professional. Which is so important to me.
We started with the super sampler basket and decided the fried mushrooms were our favorite. The outside is crunchy and then the mushroom inside is juicy goodness. So yummy. I ordered the pig platter which is ironic because I grew up never eating pork at home because my Mom’s side is Jewish and then I married a man that introduced me to it and the rest is history. The meat was moist and flavorful. It was also seasoned well. Oh and I got to take my cup home, which is a huge plus for me.
My husband got the 2 meat platter of brisket and pork belly burnt ends which was also great. We ordered the pumpkin cobbler to go, which comes with vanilla ice cream. I was so full that I could barely eat a couple bites. More for my husband. Lol
We had a great first visit and will be back soon.
Cheese curds were hit and miss. While the coating had really good flavor some of them were missing the insides. Literally just a shell and no cheese. Either they were cooked like so long it melted out or they were just that way from the package.
Entrees were 2 meat combination of sliced brisket and ribs x2 sides were cowboy beans and fries other was baked beans and green beans. The brisket sandwich and was accompanied by a side salad.
Fist off the ribs were good fall off the bone on each plate. The sliced brisket was very dry on each plate and the sandwich. To the point you almost had to drown them in sauce.
The cowboy beans were coated in so much pepper that’s all you could really taste. The French fries were good and crispy. Salad was good. Green beans were meh and so was the baked beans. Nothing fancy about either of them. Mini cornbread wasn’t great. I feel
I should’ve chosen the sliced bread. Service was good. Atmosphere was good the place was clean and so were the empty tables
Brisket was dry, almost flavorless. Jalapeño sausage – where is jalapeño?
Pork belly burnt ends were pretty good, but some were a little tough.
Green beans were good, fried okra did not disappoint.
Staff was friendly and service was great, but I came for great brisket.
For the day that I visited, I was in a particular mood for some loaded fries, and this place had a great plate of them! I got the Dirty Fries With Brisket, and it was so good! The fries were cooked the right way—not too soft, but not too crispy or burnt. It was the right texture too! There was a generous amount of cheese and pieces of Brisket all over.
All the flavors combined well together. Their barbecue sauces were especially great on it as well! I would highly recommend adding those to almost any food that you get.
Honestly, I thought I could eat my whole plate, but for what was given this was incredibly filling. Usually, for loaded fries I can eat it all no problem, but I needed a bit of help from my partner (since I did not want to take it home). This shows how good of a meal it was—even if it is not exactly an everyday one!
Although there is no dedicated gluten-free menu, my partner did not having any issues before, during, or after eating the Dirty Fries With Brisket. That is a good thing! Now we have a nice place not too far from home where we can enjoy some Dirty Fries!
I would recommend giving this place a visit if you have not already! In the future, I look forward to trying some of the other items.
The last time I was here was a few years ago, it WAS a decent BBQ restaurant at one time. I am guessing they were bought out or hired a penny pincher who is more interested in quick profit than quality food and a good reputation.
Items ordered: Bologna, brisket, ribs, cornbread, beans, potato salad, blackberry cobbler.
The bologna was okay, hard to mess that up.
Brisket was a train wreck; literally 1/3 of my order was fat and it was sliced so thin that it had zero form or texture. It was quite literally a “ball” of fat and some meat. It might as well have been chopped brisket, it would have made more sense. That much fat tells me two things; 1-someone doesn’t know how to trim down the fat cap before smoking and 2- it was not cooked properly as the fat in the meat did not properly render down.
Ribs were tasteless of smoke flavor and dry. They left that “waxy” taste and feel in your mouth after biting into them.
Cornbread? More like corn brick. So dry and dense it crumbled like dust when biting into it. ZERO moisture. Guessing it wasn’t made today and had been in the refrigerator or freezer overnight. If you ever had day old cornbread you know what I mean.
Potato salad and beans? Ehhh … probably from a can.
I ordered the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Didn’t get any ice cream. The cobbler could best be described as blackberry biscuits. Breading to blackberry ratio was about 50/50.
Sad what passes for good food these days. I’ve honestly had better barbecue at Rib Crib. If I had been in the restaurant I would have sent the food back and walked out.
The servers, though adequate, lacked any sign of caring if they had customers or not. Bad days happen though and they were NOT bad – just tired or possibly a lack of personality which isn’t horrible of the job is done.
All in all, we don’t think we’ll be going back.
Bring cash if you would like a 4% discount (no cc fee). Love this idea.
We both got the Po Boyband subbed out for the toast. I got the brisket burnt ends and jalapeno cheddar sausage . My son got the pulled pork and brisket. Brisket has a nice smoke ring with good flavor. The pulled pork was pulled so fine, it was light on your mouth to eat. Both were good! Loved the jalapeno cheddar sausage! Not too spicy. I didn’t like the burnt ends just because I didn’t care for the BBQ sauce. My son like the hot BBQ sauce though.
If you like beer battered onion rings, theirs were great! They have fresh cut fries as well. Always my fave.
Will be back to try other things like their BBQ nachos and loaded potato. Seen some come out and mouths were drooling.
We also had the berry cobbler. It was pretty good. I would have liked more of a crispy topping, but the average joe would probably love it. It comes with ice cream.
Food was outstanding. I got the pork rib dinner and the sides and the meat was all superb. Money well spent, and we will be going back the next time we get the bbq itch
