Really nice people so that earned them an extra star. I am from the South and looking for some good barbecue. I may have to just open a restaurant to get good food in Montana. The brisket taste store bought like from Costco or something. The mac & cheese taste like it is from the box. Overall, the food is bland and I will not be eating here again.

Great service, awesome food. We went on a Wednesday and got the briket special. Was fairly busy for lunch but still got our food quick. Two meals was enough for two adults and two toddlers. We were given a couple of fidget spinners that made my toddlers day. Loved the Mac and cheese

This is the best BBQ I’ve had since I lived in Texas. I walked in, was immediately greeted by staff and asked what was good today. Brisket was the answer and boy was that a great choice. The bark on that brisket was smoky, perfectly seasoned and moist. The side dish I chose was the Tater Salad and it was delicious and obviously not a bland, out of the carton salad. I was delighted when the owner and staff both came out during the lunch hour to ask how everything was. The building is a cool old railroad warehouse and the tables and decor are clean and modern. I also loved the nerdy nod to Star Wars. A great place to eat!

The pulled pork sandwich tasted great! No skimping on portions here. The cornbread muffin was satisfying to the last crumble. Oh, and they put things like onions and pickles on the side.
The decor and theme is inviting and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, making sure to both greet you and wish you a good day when leaving. The service was fast. No long waits during lunch rush.

I was going through Helena and found this BBQ joint. Nice place, good food, and good service. Good smoke flavor and tender. The slaw was a nice surprise. Perfect balance of sweet and acidic. Not a lot to choose from in Helena for BBQ, a must try if visiting.

Everything was fantastic while there. Sides are spicy. However the leftovers didn’t task good after reheating. Needless to say the portions were huge & priced reasonable.

I don’t normally eat at the same place twice, especially when I’m in a new city. I’m the kind of person who’s just trying to find that one go-to spot so if someone ever asks, “Hey, where’s the best barbecue around here?” I’ve got an answer. Well, now I do. Bad Betty’s Barbecue is that spot.
The vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. The woman working the counter was super nice didn’t catch her name, but she was great. I asked for a platter, and she hooked me up with a mix of different meats. Every single one of them was on point, tender, flavorful, and smoked just right. I didn’t talk once during the meal. I just ate. That says it all.
They don’t skimp on the portions, either, but the quality is what stood out the most. You can tell they care about what they’re putting on the plate. If you’re anywhere near this place and you’re craving legit barbecue, don’t even think twice, go to Bad Betty’s. I’ll be back for sure, and next time I’m bringing someone with me.

The atmosphere has a quaint feel to it with the multiple antiques and wood tables. The food is delicious and reasonably priced with today’s food costs. Portions are plentiful. Always pleased eating here.I had the combo platter for $13.50 highly recommended.

Hands down the BEST bbq in town! Pictured here is their Thursday nacho special with burnt ends. Portion would easily feed 2 people for $12! Stopped in for pickup and they had all safety precautions for COVID-19. Can’t wait to go back.

Bad Betty’s BBQ is awesome! A good selection of meats and sides with combo platters if you can’t decide. The portions are a good size also and the price is very reasonable. I tried the ribs platter and a side of beans….Delicious!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars for service is that the wait time for the food was pretty long… but well worth it!
