Service was great the food portions were plentiful and everything was so tasty. I could only eat half my blueberry cobbler pancakes and Cajun sausage skillet and I tried. Also the hash browns were the best I ever had: super fresh, homemade and buttery. I will definitely be returning.

I really wish they had grits . Overall, the breakfast is really good! From the omelettes to the skillets, from pancakes to French toast…all good! Things I would recommend: red velvet french toast (it has a cake like consistency…different, but really good!), cinnamon rolls pancakes, regular pancakes, veggie omelette and the veggie skillet (big enough for two servings). I also recommend the basil oil, it pairs extremely well with the skillet/omelette…trust me you won’t regret it! Things that I did not like…the decaf coffee .

The hot chocolate was excellent! However, my breakfast was just the average bacon, egg, cheese and french toast. Im going to go back to try one of their specialty breakfasts that everyone says is really good…….stay tuned

What a yummy brunch! Upon walking in, we were greeted by several flyers of fallen police officers. After waiting approx. 30 minutes, we were seated amidst the hustle bustle of the Sunday brunch rush, a lively and fast paced vibe! We got the opa omelette and the cajun skillet, both with a side of pancakes with their famous sweet stuff – and oh wow, portions were generous and flavors were delicious! Overall, super yummy and a great bang for your buck!

Bacon and jam is a cool spot to check out. The breakfast is on point the service is top notch. They get people in and out on a timely manner. The bowl of steel oats oatmeal with fruit with top notch. The steak and eggs with home fries was banging.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while because the name caught my attention. Unfortunately, after dining here, the only interesting thing about it was the name.
When I arrived, there were only two other tables occupied and the restaurant was virtually empty. Despite that, it took about six or seven minutes for the waitress to acknowledge me and bring water or take my order.
I asked for lemon slices with my water and never received them.
I initially ordered the corned beef hash breakfast. The server never mentioned that it was homemade. When it arrived, it was large chunks of corned beef mixed with peppers and onions over cubed potatoes. It lacked flavor and was extremely salty. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside with no seasoning. I specifically requested my eggs fried over hard with the yolk fully cooked, but parts of the yolk were still soft.
When I mentioned the issue, I was asked if I wanted something else. I ordered sausage links, eggs, and hash browns instead. Unfortunately, that was not an improvement. The eggs were greasy, the hash browns again lacked flavor, and the sausage links were overly salty and greasy. At that point, I ended up filling up on toast and water, which was the most enjoyable part of the meal.
Throughout the visit, the waitress seemed distracted, spending more time loudly talking to the kitchen staff and watching a game on her phone than focusing on service.
I do want to mention that the hostess at the front door was very kind and apologetic when she learned I didn’t enjoy my meal.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

So so good! It was super busy but we got sat immediately. The food came out super quick too! I ordered the smores pancakes and they were soo good. Not too overwhelmingly sweet which is perfect.

My waitress was pleasant so this review is strictly in regard to the food & atmosphere. Not good.. at all! Worst skillet ever, had to send it back bc the hash brown was still frozen in the middle. Very dry and unseasoned. Just ughh. Only had a little bit of turkey sausage. Now to the atmosphere.. flys & nets were basically attacking me all meal which didn’t make for a good meal experience. In other words not the cleanest environment. I will not be returning or recommending.

We had a great experience at Bacon and Jam. The food was amazing; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The portions were generous, which is always a plus.
The service was just as good as the food; friendly, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. Everything came out on time, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable.
This is definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in Chicago and looking for a solid breakfast or brunch spot with great food and service.

I was in the neighborhood, trying to find a new restaurant to try out since I was hungry. I Came across bacon and jam on my Google search and decided to give it a try. The waiter is the only reason why it’s going to get the number stars it has Cheryl is her name. I came at 10:30 AM by 1135 I was being told by the cashier/hostess that they have a 90 minute wait time and I’m not kicking you out I’m just letting you know. Why would you tell someone this when it’s only been an hour? I haven’t been sitting there more than two hours and there’s no sign posted anywhere of a designated booth time limit. I felt very profiled because no one else was approached Only me after receiving my food. I guess they’re not friendly to people of color. I feel very disgusted with this being my first experience at this restaurant. BLACK FOLKS KEEP DRIVING IF YOU DNT WANT TO BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST
