Backyard Tap House is a restaurant, bar/pub located in Florence, Montana MT in the Bitterroot Valley. The Backyard Tap House was inspired by our favorite place to enjoy a cold beverage, our own backyard. We opened the Backyard Tap House to create a fun place to hang out with friends and family while enjoying a huge selection of craft beer, wine, signature cocktails, premium liquor and a full menu of fresh food options including burgers, sandwiches, bowls, salads, nachos, bacon and more. Our inviting family / kid friendly atmosphere, gorgeous outdoor patios, fire pits and yard games are guaranteed to keep you smiling. The food was amazing! The potatoes were so scrumptious! My daughter had a personal pan pizza, and she loved it! The other people in my party had the Backyard Burger, Smash Burger, and Kids Mac & Cheese. The side salads were yummy. The Florence Dip was my choice, and it was phantasmagorical! (Local Missoulians would remember Tommy the Leprechaun in this reference.) I can’t wait to try an Old Fashioned because I hear they are the best around!

Love the space and the staff. Service is friendly and helpful. Lots of great drink choices on tap. Sadly, not a fan of the pizza. The pizza was promising…great pepperoni, perfect crust, but virtually no sauce and too much rubbery, tasteless cheese. Provolone? Not sure, but it was odd. Might try the burger if I go back.

We have been to the Tap House several times since they opened. Not really regulars but since we live right around the corner it is nice to have a local place near by with good food and drinks. Some of our friends from Lolo had not been there yet so we all decided to meet at 6:00 for dinner and try the new back yard, which is very nice.

Love, love, love this place. Food is outstanding. Great liquor and beer selection. Friendly staff. Love the entertainment videos and trivia on the tv”s. Menu’s are on the table, you go to the bar to order, they bring your food to the table. Smashburger is my favorite….so far!
