Family owned Coney Island Restaurant located in the heart of Wixom, Michigan. We have been serving the community for 17 years. We have been VOTED # 1 Coney Island and “BEST BREAKFAST” in Oakland SIX YEARS in a ROW!!! Our staff is friendly and attentive. The dining room is filled with laughter as the waitstaff usually puts on a good show. Our kitchen is clean. The portions are HUGE. The experience is priceless. Come on in and see for yourself.

I’m really torn about this review. I don’t want to give away the secret. But, for the sake of the restaurant, OMG!!! This place is awesome!! It’s the most perfect hidden gem. The food was incredible. The service was second to none. And don’t get me started on how reasonably priced their incredible menu reads. Two of us got the corned beef hash and eggs. I put a good dent in it. My wife got the farmer’s omelet, and her leftovers fed me breakfast for 2 days. I could eat here daily, but then I’d have my doctor telling me to lose 200 lbs.

We asked Backyard Coney Island to cater a high school varsity football banquet for 80 people, and they nailed it! Chicken fingers were crisp, and the homemade beet salad dressing was a game changer! Warm, fresh pita bread disappeared. Grilled chicken for the Caesar and Greek salad was perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend. Thank you, Backyard Coney; you made 80 people very happy:)

Very local to Backyard Coney and have gitten take-out here a few times but never left a review. While dining in on this occassion, Peggy and staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and the portions are huge. Staff took a moment to ensure that we were doing well and that everything met our expectation. The Coney Island is also kept clean and spotless including the bathrooms!

5 stars isn’t enough! First trip, the food was made to perfection! The over easy eggs were made perfectly! One the second trip, a waitress we didn’t even interact with on the first trip asked if we wanted the same drinks as the previous time. The attention to detail by the employees is second to none. As long as I have the opportunity, I will continue to have breakfast here. Hands down, the best Coney Island I’ve ate at! Keep up the great work!

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and now live in Indiana and I come up to visit my daughter and we always come here to the backyard . Although the entire staff is fantastic , I’ve always had Sherri as my waitress and she’s absolutely wonderful ! ❤️❤️ A+++++++++ 100 / 100 !!! We love you BACKYARD !!!!!
