We made a reservation, and we were greeted. The server then told us the specials and got us water. She came back five minutes later and took our drinks and appetizers. Both of which were good. She then took our order dor our dinner I ordered the burger and my girlfriend ordered the pot roast. She liked hers, and my burger was decent, but I ordered medium well and got medium rare. No big deal….unfortunately some of the other people who joined us for dinner waited for their food longer than anyone else at the party and they also said it wasn’t that good. One member of the party got the meatloaf, and it was so tough that he needed to use his knife to cut it. I can say that the drinks were good and the view and atmosphere were nice. Especially as the sun was going down. All in all, I think if they had possibly a little more staff to help, the food would’ve come out in a timely fashion. If you want to have a few drinks with some friends and enjoy the view with a lovely staff, then this is the place. For anything else, it’s kinda sub par.

You Need To Know? Had 5:45 reservations on the deck overlooking the putting green. The scenery at this venue is spectacular. We had vegetable soup, smoked brisket cheesesteak, pulled pork sandwich, & the fried chicken dinner. This was mouth watering, competition winning bbq! The fried chicken had a Chipotle bacon maple sauce that was sweetening delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was so good that you couldn’t stop eating it once you started. The smoke brisket cheesesteak came out wrong originally & the staff were quick enough to recognize their error before we even realized. Friendly and quick service. All around great venue for BBQ! My first experience here was great, food and service was incredible. Just recently my second experience was disappointing. I ordered a pulled chicken cheesesteak and the waitress brought out pulled pork. It visibly didn’t even look like chicken on the bun nor did it obviously taste like such. I sent it back and the waitress returned empty handed. She told me “they’re telling me that it’s chicken” “I looked at it myself and the pork looks different.” She offered something else but I just asked for another one to be made. She came back with a sandwich that visibly looked different than what was originally put in front of me. She waited until I took a bite to make sure that it was “correct” this time. It was correct but not fresh, it was room temperature like it had been sitting out. I’m very displeased about this experience, and am sad to say I will not be returning.

Just wondering why so manyrestaurants are now putting a surcharge on your check if you use a credit card. It’s posted on your check before the waitress or waiter even knows how you’re paying. To me the service charges are a cost of doing business should not be forwarded on by the consumer. It also seems like a lot of people don’t even realize they’re being charged as they just pay the bill as it’s not a large fee. Other than this, really enjoy your restaurant.

We had a great experience at the newly opened Backwoods Bar & Kitchen! Friendly and attentive service, great drinks, creative dishes. Absolutely delicious and we loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
