First lunch meal about a month ago: party of 4, we all had a great lunch meal! Super service! Second Service, Dinner, 4 different people. Very poor service, food awful. Third service, 3 weeks later, to give it one last try today for lunch. Table for four, lunch. This time I took photos. I made a reservation for 4 for 11:30 a.m. only to find website, yelp, Google maps all said they open at 12. I made an emergency call at 11:30 from the parking lot, with no one in site except my guests, and I was assured 11:30 was ok. I ushered my guests in for an early Mother’s Day Lunch. Pleasant service people. We finally found a table we liked (sorry staff). One diner had a Club House Sandwich with regular fries, she was happy. One diner got a measly 1/2 Sandwich with half salad, seemed fine. One diner (me) ordered a Club House Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. Halt! Fries were way overcooked. But Sandwich good! Last but not least Diner #4, a pizza aficionado, ordered the Pizza Margerita. When it arrived we all stared at in shock! Soggy, uncooked cheese pizza (still see the grated unmelted cheese), on top of which were four raw tomatoes with cheese blobbed on top. He cut apart the pizza and all the raw water and uncooked cheese and dough pooled into liquid disgungtinness (a word?). He didn’t want to cause a scene so he managed to swallow down parts of two pieces. I told him that was hands down the worst pizza I’d ever seen and never would have eaten it, as did agree the 3 other diners chime in. So we gave Backstreet Bistro more that a fare shot. We will not be returning. I’m also not sure I would call it an Italian restaurant, most food was Americanized. Bye bye, sorry.

Went to this place on Saturday evening not knowing what to expect. No reservation, but they seated us immediately. Before we could even pull our seats in, they had water and bread delivered to us. Havent had that happen for us in a long time. We order our food and a single glass of wine. My wife and I were just going to share it. They brought wine in a carafe and 2 glasses which was nice. Recieved our food in a timely manner. Food was incredible. Passed on desert because we were full from that great food that was hard to put down. Told the hostess we would definitely be back to eat there again. Would recommend this place to anyone!!! WELL DONE BACKSTREET BISTRO!!!

I think i had the best rueben of my life here. All of the food was outstanding, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive but not overly intrusive. The atmosphere was great. If i lived in the area I’d go eat there atleast once a week.

Backstreet Bistro offers inside and outside patio seating. We had a delicious lunch that was fairly priced for the area. My club sandwich was large – I took half of it home for dinner. The service was excellent. Helpful Hint: Great place to have lunch after shopping at El Paseo or after a visit to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. Plenty of parking.

Just finished my delicious French Toast. My wife and daughter had the El Paseo Eggs, but they weren’t impressed. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. I hope to return soon to try their dinner offerings.
