I am so glad I decided to try Backlot Pizza—wow! After reading the reviews about their authentic deep-dish pizza, I knew I had to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the crust was phenomenal—thick, buttery, and perfectly baked. I loved that they put the sauce on top, just the way deep dish should be.
I also ordered their buffalo wings, and they were amazing—wet, meaty, and full of flavor. The restaurant is located inside a movie theater, but honestly, I’d probably miss the movie because I wouldn’t be able to stop eating!
A special shoutout to Nate, who was such a pleasant and attentive server. I will definitely be back!

I went a few months ago but I only just remember to leave a review. I’d give this a high 3* so I rounded up. Service was very attentive, but I was also the only one there at an odd time of day, I had the Boom Boom Fries app which the bartender was nice enough to let me try a plate of on the house since it was fairly recently opened, and the Detroit Pepperoni Pizza. The sauce on the Boom Boom Fries was a bit too sweet for my preference but if you like the sweetness they were well cooked. The pizza was a bit better to me but still not my favorite.
If I just came here to see a movie with the option to order some grub I probably would’ve enjoyed this place more, but as a place just for food it merely met expectations. Service and atmosphere were good though.

My husband and I came over here on lunch and had Nate as our server. He was super kind and extremely attentive. They had a pizza buffet out but we decided to go with the Bruttata (SO AWESOME) and Buffalo Chicken Pizza (Also so great)
Such a cool vibe and would be a great place to come for drinks as there were so many options with a big tv behind the bar!
Definitely will be back!

Driving around trying to find dinner. Lines out the door wherever I go. I start lowering my expectations when I find this place on Google maps. Seems to be relatively new, let’s do it. I had wings and some of their pizza. The garlic parmesan wings were very good but the star of the show is definitely the pizza. Crust is buttery and flavorful and not an afterthought. Ingredients are plentiful. Service was attentive. Hopefully business picks up for them so I can come again next time I’m in the area.

Burrata was tasty with crispy toast and a nice chunk of mozzarella. Classic Detroit style pizza, could have used a little longer in the oven but overall would definitely go back. Chili was tasty too with a nice portion size. If you join their rewards program you get $10 off! Our server was very attentive and helpful.
Went back again and asked for the pizza to be cooked a little longer and it was fantastic! We got the bbq chicken without onion. My son had the wings and ate them all, so they must have been good. Huge portions on fries too.

Just stopped by after looking at reviews. I had The Butcher’s Word pizza. It was really good. The crush was not as thick so it was not as bready. A ton of cheese and toppings. I could only eat half.

This place deserves 10 stars! First, the food was hot and fresh! The combo pizza was 4 squares of delicious, deep dish pizza covered with an abundance of rich melted cheese. The Detroit classic was just that and would make Detroit pizza parlors proud! The smash burger was full of flavor and didnt skimp on size. The Chicken philly…..ohhhh the Chicken Philly…..perfect combination of flavors and bun. This place is an absolute must!!!!!!

Tasty pizza. The classic Detroit style was the star of the show. The buffalo chicken didn’t have enough chicken and the blue cheese wasn’t anything special. Nice clean place. Cool concept with the movie theater.

Veggie pizza was wonderful. Blueberry mango Mojito with a splash of grenadine was awesome. Tyler is absolutely fantastic. He made sure that I didn’t hurt myself eating the delicious pizza. Come see him if you can.

The wife and I tried it for Date Night. Sat in the bar area, nice and quiet. We had the Detroit Classic and it was wonderful! little pepperoni cups full of flavor! We’ll be back to try more.
