Back Yard Burger as a company should check into the disrepair of this location. Absolutely filthy inside and out, peeling paint on the entire building, an odd smell (definitely not cleaning products), a bathroom that feels like the heat is on in the summer, and the bathroom door doesn’t even lock. The word I keep coming back to is YUCK. I can’t believe a franchisee would be allowed to keep their restaurant open in the current condition. And my itty bitty excuse for a Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich combo with freezer-tasting fries was $11.09 before tax!!! Eleven-oh-nine. Y’all. I review restaurants almost every day, and I’ve never in my life. The only bright spot was the friendly cashier.

First and last time I’ll try this place. The burger was overcooked/dry/old. There were 3 slithers of purple onion skins (no actual onion was attached). 1 paper thin tomato slice. Had to throw away the seasoned fries. Squeezed one and grease ran out. It was as if the meal was prepared with scraps.

This is the very first Back Yard Burgers ever built. They have somehow managed to continue to bring you the very best tasting burgers and service through the years. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They are also community minded and employ young people looking for first time jobs.

So disappointed. Lights went out in our house, so we decided to dine in at BYB. The inside is so dated, there’s nasty stains on the ceilings and the artwork is badly faded.
Everything I ordered didn’t have what I needed to eat. But I wasn’t told until after we paid for it, sat down, and it was delivered to us. For example: I ordered fries, but they had no ketchup. Ok, no problem. I’ll take mayo and mustard to mix together for a substitute. Nope, we don’t have mayo. Ok ♀️
I ordered the chicken pecan salad. They gave me ranch, although I didn’t ask for it. I wanted the raspberry vinaigrette. They’re out of it. Ok, what about the balsamic vinaigrette. They’re out of that too. Why didn’t they tell me this when I ordered? I would’ve ordered something completely different. Oh!!!! Then I was given a spoon and a knife to eat my salad. They’re out of forks. ♀️
It may have been a bad night, but if they had communicated this with me while I was placing my order, I would have changed my order completely or have gone some place else.

Since the original owners sold out to corporate America. It seems that they’ve completely forgotten their roots. It’s a shame that BYB #1 location in Cleveland Mississippi has been closed for “remodeling” for almost 2 years now. I guess since it isn’t hurting their pocketbook, it doesn’t really matter if they re open or not I suppose. I’m sure my rant will fall on deaf ears. I just felt like someone should know how us folks here in Cleveland feel about it.

Customer service was HORRIBLE. My order was taking by Virniesha Brown who was the rude the entire time. She literally cut me off with everything I was asking for. Not to mention she keep talking to others in the background, and I had to keep repeating my order. Then I received my food in a filthy bag and when I ask for another one, an employee by the name of Monique stated “she must gone eat the bag”. I hope they haven’t been doing all customers like this.

Very good food! The wait was a bit long but the food was fresh so it was well worth it. I tried the fried pickles for the first time and they were sooo good. We don’t stay in this state but we come to visit family and whenever we are in town we get their food

Customer service was terrible. Drive thru cashier was very rude to me. I had been sitting at the speaker about 3minutes. I said hello nobody said anything. I waited a minute and I said hello again. Then she said.. ” I said can I take your order. In a rude manner. The speaker looks like it broken.

The fried pickles were horrible. Over too much batter, to spicy, just not what I thought they would be. I asked for extra tomatoes and only got the one. I’ll stick with Burger King for my burgers.
