First time at Back Road Ale House in Swoyersville and the wings were pretty damn good. It was wing night. The sauces were back road, house and ale House hot. I like that the wings were a medium size. I’m not a fan when the wings are too big and they are hard to get crispy. The wings came out nice and crispy with enough sauce. My favorite of the sauces was Back Road sauce. Since the wings were good I’m curious how the pizza and the rest of the food is.

You Need To Know? Arrived for 5:45 & was able to sit immediately. Service was prompt & drinks were cold! Ordered the space fries, bacon cheeseburger quesadilla, chicken salad & a 6 cut tray of the fried sicilian.Sicilian. The chicken cheese steak came out as a cheese steak & needed to be sent back. The space fries were literally out of this world! Home cut fries with cheeses, gravy & bacon, yummmm, highly recommend! The quesadilla was a bit greasy for a quesadilla but then again it’s a cheeseburger so it is to be expected. Back Road Ale House is worth a stop. Now You Know!

Enjoyed some fresh tap beers, good quesadia and wings…fries are fresh cut but could be crisper. Wait staff very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere tight but clean and comfortable. Nice local place to relax and meet up with old friends.

First time we’ve been here. Friendly place, lots of folks dining here on wing night. Waitress was super nice. We ordered wings, basket of fries, and pizza. Despite being busy, it didn’t take long to get our food. Everything was excellent! We will definitely be back.

My husband and I came in sat down at the seating of our choice. Literally in minutes our waitress greeted us and took our order of drinks. She served them cold and fast then took our food order in seconds after.We ordered up the Buffalo wing dip. It is EXCELLENT ! Also a house salad. It was fresh and crisp. We had the Sicilian cheese pizza and it had a generous amount of cheese on it. We ❤ our cheese on are pizza. They are very fair on the prices of the food here. This was well worth the stop.We definitely will be back to visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

This place was awesome. The burgers were juicy, had tons of flavor & were hot, even if you ordered rare! The fries were SO good I could’ve kept eating them all night! If you’re ever in Wilkes-Barre, you really need to stop in.

The pizza is out of this world, my wife loved the chicken Cesar wrap, the service was wonderful and they are very friendly and talk to you!! The only draw back was my type of beer ie. Yuengling lager in the bottle, they didn’t have any cold, but in their defense it was late Sunday so….. Other then that highly recommend!!

Shannon and her team are doing an awesome job. I visit from time to time to check out the specials and drink some beers. If there is one thing I dislike it’s a warm beer. They replace your frosted mug consistently so you never have a warm beer. The staff is friendly and courteous, you feel as if you’re a regular every time you stop by. I highly recommend back roads old bay chips too!!!
