We visited on Saturday and had a great time. Even though we did have a wait they did have a firepit guests could congregate around in the meantime. Once we got seated, service was above and beyond! Matt did an amazing job serving us and also recommended a few items including bacon-wrapped scallops! Definitely look forward to coming back!

We showed up 15 minutes before closing time, yet they were very welcoming and never rushed us. Our server was so gracious and kind to everyone, he really made us feel at home. We started with the okra & calamari appetizers, both delicious. Pictured is my sautéed fresh local shrimp plate (“full portion”, $26 today). Every bite was a fresh and flavorful delight, the perfect way to end a hot day on the island.

The pecan encrusted Drum and bacon wrapped scallops were excellent. Have to eat here while on Ocracoke. Only bummer is that they close Sun-Tuesday and we only got to eat here once.

Really great place for dinner. Fresh ingredients and great flavors. We had calamari, pan seared scallops, and the Tuna that was on special. We sat on the “back porch” amd it was lovely. Service was friendly and quick! I personally can’t wait to go back.

Our waitress was amazing- best service ever. We got a poke bowl and the red pepper Parmesan pasta. Fettuccini Alfredo is my favorite meal ever and this was a GREAT twist. Great atmosphere and great drinks!

Four stars instead of five due to they were completely out of any kind of bread. No garlic bread for spaghetti, no rolls, no table bread at all. Having said that, the Spanish mackerel, seasonal veggies (squash, green beans, and carrots), and jasmine rice we’re delicious! We sat in the screened in area on the deck. Beautiful atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent. Coconut cake was so good! I loved the Russian blue cat that obviously lives there. He’s good PR.

Back Porch offers a good selection of seafood and other dishes. We tried several but found the consistency to be hit and miss. The wagu burger, excellent with a toasted sesame bun. Shrimp and scallop pasta on the other hand was served cool in the sauce lacked a flavor punch. One in our party felt their dish was undersized for the price. On the island, service is a little slower, that’s to be expected. But sadly our service didn’t meet expectations. Drinks went empty, an order was incorrect (but quickly fix – thank you) and request for other items slow. We enjoyed the atmosphere and people were friendly. We’ll give them another shot and hope they just had an off night.

LarderRoom…The Back Porch is open and the fresh fish is blackened Drum with a sweet lemon white sauce! Delicious! Also tried the ribeye and the pasta special. I know what you’re thinking, Pasta. Yep. It was that good!

We had an amazing oyster rockafella here! It alone was almost enough to give 4 stars but the other menu items just didn’t hit. Our entrees were fish specials that just didn’t seem super special. Sure Okay… but for price I was expecting more. We arrived early on a Saturday…so service was good considering (our server seemed to pick up a bunch of tables in addition to our 8! top).
