This feels like a place you’d see in an HBO finale where all the hot late 20s to 30 or 40 something’s meet up in the season finale to have a celebratory send-off of some kind. If like the vibes of Sideways were a restaurant. Truly unique dining experience. Food was great. Drinks were fantastic. Music was delightful. Service is top notch. Property is adorable. Will scream this recommendation from rooftops for anyone visiting NOLA. 5/5 will return at some point.

A unique arrangement at Bacchanal where you buy a bottle of wine, meat and cheese selections at the front counter, then they open your wine, prepare the meat & cheese plate in a presentable form with olives, jams and bread for your table. The music was fitting for this outdoor courtyard next to the railroad tracks and docks.

Simply fantastic. What a great spot to enjoy amazing music, great food and a true oasis of a space. We came as a group of 8 and absolutely loved everything about this spot. Great wine, great food, great cocktails and beers. What more could you truly want. A 12/10 experience. If you come to New Orleans come here! And get the pork belly holy best pork belly I’ve had in a minute!

What a magical patio. Great atmosphere, music, and people. You definitely get a community vibe as you hang out over wine and small bites. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The charcuterie board was massive. Diverse offering of spirits.

Amazing food!! It was confusing to understand their set up at first, but, they have a small place downstairs where you can buy wine and you either take it home or take it upstairs to the restaurant and have it with the food you are gonna order.
In the back there is a patio with occasional live music.

Wow! We absolutely loved this place tonight. My wife and I go to dinner frequently in New Orleans. This is hands down one of the coolest experiences we have ever had. Super laid back atmosphere. No table service so you don’t have a server making you feel rushed to get out. Really nice outdoor patio with live music. The music started at 7pm tonight. It’s like a DIY at your own pace restaurant. I loved that about this place. GO. CHECK. IT. OUT!

This place is amazing! Such a beautiful courtyard and fun concept. When you walk in through the door at the street corner, you enter the “wine shop” portion of the restaurant where you can choose a bottle to enjoy, or order by the glass from a bar upstairs. The food is delicious—we had the grilled sardines, papas fritas, and mixed olives (note they aren’t pitted, which is of course classy but maybe not ideal for those who share my impatience while snacking ). If we lived in NOLA we’d be here all the time!

Bacchanal is a truly unique experience. There are two options for dining available. Self-service outside style or inside seated. We chose to sit outside and listen to some nice, live jazz music while enjoying a couple of bottles of wine and superb appetizers. This was in May, so it was pretty “warm” but they do have several fans to keep the air moving around. Parking is difficult so I suggest getting dropped off.
