Update: went back on 12/31/2025 and the vegan Mac and cheese was inedible as agreed by 3 adults and one toddler at the table. I told the wait staff and they were apathetic. Very disappointed as we previously had a 5 star experience for it to go down to a 1 star.
Old review:
After our trip to the Children’s museum, we wanted to try somewhere local. Parking was convenient across the street. My husband ordered the all American (I think), we got Mac and cheese for my toddler, and I got the impossible burger with vegan cheese. Food was served promptly. Everything had a nice flavor and wasn’t too hot or cold. Service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms were clean and tidy and had a changing table. We will definitely be back to try some of those dairy free milkshakes!

The impossible burger was quite good. I really like the buns and the caramelized onions. The vegan cheese sauce was great as well. Fires just shouldn’t be delivered. The non dairy milkshake was also decent but I had better ones. I prefer my shakes a bit more creamy. This one had some ice crystals in it so I assume they either used ice cubes or the ice cream was just not as creamy.

We have been coming to Baby’s regularly this year especially for their Wednesday night trivia. We really enjoy Max who is the host. It’s been hit or miss, sometimes there is a decent amount of teams, sometimes no other teams and one time it was canceled last second. We always enjoy the food! The service is also hit or miss. The majority of the time it seems like it’s our servers first day and they’re still learning. Which is okay and doesn’t affect the night too much. It’s normally better when they just do walk up/self service to the counter. No need to stress out people with having to serve who don’t know how to is my thought. The great food makes up for it!

My wife and I stumbled across this spot called Baby’s for a laid-back dinner date. We’d heard about it through the Indy Local Foodies group but didn’t even realize it was there. Turns out, it’s kind of a hidden gem. Bonus points for plenty of free parking and getting seated right away.
The menu has a good mix, but the burgers are clearly the star of the show. I went for the Swissy burger, while my wife got the chicken and fries basket. We couldn’t help ourselves and ordered a cheeseburger too, just so we could fully customize it.
Everything we tried was so good. The flavors were on point, and the service was awesome. Our servers were super friendly and even told us some cool stories about the restaurant’s history (which you can also read about on the menu).
Bottom line: Baby’s is a total win. Great food, chill vibes, and a perfect spot to hang out with friends or family. Highly recommend checking it out!

Baby’s is a hit. The retro feel of the decorations and have the building structure looks. The prices. And the taste. All hits. They have so many vegan options too. Even having vegan milkshakes.

Very good food quality, simple menu, and true gluten free options including fries cooked in a separate fryer, impressive. This place is owned by the woman who owns Ball & Biscuit cocktail bar on Mass Ave, pictured are several of the house brand canned cocktails. I tried the espresso martini and a lemon coconut beverage both of which were balanced and complex. Burgers and fries are up to par, we just have a lot of options in Indy for this fare. My only nit pick is that it’s pricey, which is unfortunately expected for the location. Highly recommended for gluten free diets, and worth checking out otherwise. Service was top notch as well.

I’ve had better food from a gas station. The chicken tenders tasted like they had been frozen, cooked, frozen again, then cooked and given to me. The Mac and cheese wasn’t even Mac and cheese. It tasted like half cooked pasta with cheese sauce diluted with water and cheddar cheese as a seasoning. Sauces on the sandwiches and sides arent what they say they are and my toddler wouldn’t even eat the fries.

My family and I are visiting from out of town. We stopped at babys and it was soo good. We got a generous order of cheese curds for $10. The burgers were had a great Smokey flavor my husband did a make your own while I had the bur-gers on fire. Everything came out in great time and tasted delicious. I love how inclusive of a place this is and if I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular!

I recently found Baby’s and love it! I have a diary allergy. Each time I have been in, asked questions about the food and menu they have been so helpful! I don’t normally want a burger, but this place is one I would go back to just for that and the fries.

I am definitely disappointed with the pretzel bites. Pretzel bites were cooked too long. Looked and tasted a bit burnt. The nacho cheese sauce helped eating them but the strawberry milkshake was on point. I really really liked that.
