My family is cajun from Beaumont TX. The best authentic cajun in the area. Gumbo brings tears to my eyes everytime.

I absolutely LOVE Baby Kay’s!!!! We’ve been coming here for years. When I was young, and a picky eater, I would get the Shrimp Po’Boy sandwich which was great. My mom has only ever order the Crawfish Etouffee, which is her favorite Cajun food, and her favorite thing on the menu. Now that I’m older I always order either (or sometimes both) the Shrimp Etouffee or the Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Both are absolutely amazing, but the Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo might be my personal favorite. And the garlic bread it comes with is amazing too!! I would highly, highly recommend!! And we normal come here for lunch, but if you come for dinner you have the chance to hear some very atmospheric and talented live music!! It’s busier at dinner, but definitely worth the wait!!

The atmosphere definitely reminds me of being in LA. I enjoyed the cajun flavors! Boudin Balls with apricot jelly was delicious! Chicken/Sausage Gumbo and the Chicken/Shrimp Pasta was perfect! Price per plate/serving size is right on.

Baby Kay’s really deserves a 4.5/5. If they gave me 1/2 the amount of fries, and 1 more piece of catfish, I’d give them 5 stars. The catfish strips they served that day were so tender I didn’t think they were fully cooked. Every piece of seafood served tasted fresh and homemade. The andouille sausage and duck gumbo was also very good. Everything was seasoned well and I wanted more after every bite. When I’m craving Cajun again, I will absolutely be returning.

Cant get very much better than this. Lets start with Lizzie. Awesome server with a great personality. She explained the menu items i asked about. Was attentive during our visit and patient with our group (8 friends all from out of town).

Lizzy was amazing with her services. I’ve eaten here before but never sat down. So I ordered the crab cake which was burnt and doesn’t really taste like anything special. I order the shrimp with dirty rice and crawfish sauce. It was good, could use more sauce. Then I had a side of jambalaya omgee so delicious. I like spicy food, everything has a kick to it. The artist performing on Tuesday was great, at 94 years old.

A friend and I went here on a Wednesday evening and it was a great dining experience. I don’t really have any complaints. The food was hot, with fine flavors in the sauces and spices, and some lowdown blues on the radio to top it all off. I’m definitely going to come back to this spot.

Authentic cajun food at good prices. Crab cakes with remoulade are tasty. Po’ boy with side of crawfish etouffee is the best.
