I have been here before and I really enjoy this place! It’s probably been about a year a year and a half since I’ve been back in town so I could enjoy it again!

Usually, I always get gumbo, I think this is the first time I have not.

I had the Baby Kay’s Sampler, which is actually an appetizer with french fries, catfish, oysters, shrimp, hush puppies, and jalapeño poppers.

But really impressed me was the fact that it came with ketchup, which you don’t need, horseradish sauce, cocktail sauce, and the Remoulade sauce!!

Side of dirty rice was excellent, and I’ll wash down with an Abita Andygator, one of my favorite beers and always has been, I cannot get an Abita beer where I live.

Busy little restaurant on a Friday night. They had a duet percussion/guitar sing classic blues tunes, while the food was coming out the kitchen. Great service for as busy as it was too. Food was exclusively Cajun, so catfish, crayfish, po boy’s. I highly recommend the home made potato chips. Delicious! If you want you some genuine Cajun, this da place, uh-hu.

Great service, truly fast and friendly. Good day or…. everyone serving or helping customers was overly friendly. Had not been there in a few years.
Got the Cajun Sampler since I wanted a good overview. Not to spicy but plenty of Cajun flavor. Dirty rice was a little dry. Jambalaya was on par with other good versions. Not the best I have had but top 5.

Baby Kay’s Cajun Kitchen is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Cajun flavors in Arizona. The dishes are packed with bold seasoning, from the jambalaya to the po’ boys, and everything tastes freshly prepared with care. Portions are generous and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The atmosphere has a fun, laid-back vibe that adds to the experience, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s a dependable local restaurant when you’re craving rich, flavorful Cajun comfort food done right.

We went on Mardi Gras and the place was hopping! We didn’t have to wait long for a table but our food order did take some time. I completely understand how busy they were. I would suggest maybe doing a more specialized smaller menu on Mardi Gras to avoid having a longer delay in food coming out. Our food was very flavorful and authentic and we will definitely go back on a less hectic day.

I have been a Baby Kays loyal customer for over 25 years. I used to live very near the old Town and Country location and it was a hang out for me. I miss that place and now I have to drive a long way to get to Dobson and Baseline but I do it a couple of times a year. You must try the chicken gumbo, jambalaya on the side with garlic bread. It warms your ears, eyes and nose but I love that. I have taken the meal camping and it was the BEST food on a cold Jeep trail. It’s a clean hole in the wall but it’s great. They seem to be short staffed generally but they bust their asses in there. Give it whirl!

Definitely the best Cajun food in the area.
I came here for lunch and they were not busy at the time. I was seated right away. The staff are friendly and immediately took the drink orders.
I ordered the boudin balls for add appetizer and they were great. They were a good size and perfectly crispy and flavorful. And then for the main dish, I ordered the fried clams and alligator basket. They were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Also, the portions are a good size for the price.
So if you’re looking for good Cajun food, I would definitely recommend Baby Kay’s.
