Visited for the first time with a friend, and I was bewildered at the display – so much choice and everything looked wonderful!
I got a bunch of things to try – we sat down for a chai with pain au chocolate and mocha with carrot cake, and took things to go for later – chocolate chip cookie, plum galette, plum tart, apricot cardamom danish, cherry danish – this is definitely a gourmet bakery with some unique flavor combinations. They also have savory treats like quiches, slices of sourdough pizza and more. Be prepared to be confused at the display because you will want to get everything!

We tried their cinnamon roll/croissant and one of the focaccias, it was all absolutely delicious! Unfortunately they sold out of the blueberry tart when we got there, oh well. Excuse the poor pictures quality, I was really hungry after a long hike and clicked them a bit impatiently.

A patient of mine put me on to Babettes when they were changing locations in Longmont. He told me about their homemade bread, and this was enough to lure me in. We live in Lafayette, so the fact that it’s on the south side of Longmont makes it very accessible. Personally, I return for the pastries. They are the right amount of sweetness and are laminated wonders. It gets a little crazy on the weekends, so if you can stop in midweek you will have a much less chaotic experience.

Babettes is a beautiful place with plenty of seating inside and out. It’s great for working remotely. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. We didn’t have coffee but the coffee bar is huge.

It’s important to get baguettes earlier than later, like before around 9am. The stuff they bake is always scrumptious no matter what it is. They sell Italian pasta like pappardelle, cans of natural soda, bottles of wine and other alcohol, etc.

Great food and great coffee! You can’t leave without trying their Strawberry Creme Brûlée. Everything I’ve tried is absolutely delicious. The line is quite long since there is only one counter and one register but the line moves quickly and it’s well worth the wait.

Great little french bakery. Bread was so good! Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. So many options for sweet and savory depending on what you are in the mood for. A hidden gem!
