Truly made with love. Visited the former restaurant from out of town with my mother months ago and received such warm service that we promised to come back once the new one opened. The owner Sam was so enthusiastic and generous and personally chose our menu items for us. He gave me the #4 (Shredded Beef/Lamb Shawarma), and it was so hearty and flavorful. Sam makes the food taste like magic. The rest of the staff are also incredibly friendly and happy to see people there, which is so refreshing in a busy food court around dinnertime. I highly recommend eating here if you want friendly service and what tastes like the best home cooked meal you’ll ever have.

I absolutely love this place! The food, service, and atmosphere are all amazing! I travel from Iowa-city to Des Moines to get this authentic food! I ordered the #11, and it was soooo good!!!!! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Everything about this was place was really good ! Sam and the other were really nice and welcoming. I got the beef shawarma bowl it was so good! I can tell they put a lot of love in to their food. 10/10 would come again ! They’re opening up another location in one month in Des Moines, so i’m excited for that !!

Food is incredible. I can only eat GF and Sam knew the perfect dish (#4 if you’re interested!) Everything was super fresh and hot. Absolutely the best Mediterranean I’ve had in Iowa. Definitely coming here next time I’m at Jordan Creek. Thanks Sam and Mesho!

This place is delicious! I lived in NYC for 8 years and this is what we used to find on every corner at the Halal food trucks! They have a bigger variety and the food is so good. So excited that they are here in Des Moines

Shawarma options and the rice was perfect. After having a conversation with a customer in line about authentic Egyptian food and NYC, the worker Thomas made a recommendation. I asked for spicy feta, he told me “It doesn’t go, but I’ll let you try it on the side.” I enjoyed all the traditional sauces. I’ll return to try all the other stuff, but have a feeling Thomas’ recommendation will be my favorite!

I was iffy on trying it because it wasn’t the Hummus place. Turns out they are the same people, just slightly different food. The gentleman offered us a sample of #4, which is what pulled us in. Holy wow. I ordered my gyro just before he handed me the sample and immediately wished I had ordered the number 4 instead. It was a shredded lamb with sauce and rice. DELICIOUS. The gyro was fantastic too, very fresh, excellent flavor, a good size portion. They were generous in my request for extra tzatziki and extra feta too. Fries are seasoned well and fresh. We will definitely be back, and I’ll be ordering catering through them as well.

SAM And a guy in a hat and another older fellow in the back were all super kind. We came in on a Friday, December 8th around 8:30/40ish pm and they let my boyfriend sample the number 4 and it was the single most delicious dish he has ever had and they made sure to go above and beyond to make sure it was the best damn dish that they could ever make for him! Thank you guys for the amazing experience! Yay
