Baba’s BBQ in Roseville is the real deal. The tri-tip sandwich was absolutely .Perfectly cooked, insanely tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell real care goes into the food. The fries were just as good: hot, crispy, and the perfect side to that sandwich.
But what really sets this place apart is the hospitality. Malek, the owner, welcomed us with so much genuine love and kindness that it instantly felt like more than just a meal it felt like home. He made sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and happy the entire time.
Great food, great vibes, and even better people. Baba’s BBQ isn’t just a spot to eat , it’s a place you want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a favor and check this place out! An absolutely hidden gem in Citrus Heights. We found this place off of Google Maps and the pictures had us sold. When we entered, the owner was so friendly and welcoming! He answered all of our questions about the menu and went into detail about how he likes to prep and cook the meat. We ordered the tri tip sandwhich, the burger, and wings. ALL of the food was delicious, the meat was super tender and juicy with so much flavor. We will definitely be coming back to try the loaded fries next time!

I stopped by and ordered the Tri Tip sandwich with mozzarella sticks on the side, and WOW!! everything was so good. You can really taste the quality in the meat and the food overall. The sandwich was flavorful and tender, and the mozz sticks were the perfect crispy bonus. On top of that, the owner was super nice and genuinely pleasant to talk to, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Tri-tip sandwich – to die for. Chicken noodle soup (seasonal) – solid choice. Wings – good deal. Best of the bunch was the sandwich.

Hubby and I were looking for a bbq spot for lunch today, came across Babas bbq and decided to check it out. The owner was extremely nice. We both ordered the tri tip sandwich and onion rings. The tri tip was beyond amazing…so flavorful and tender smoked perfectly.
I wanted to try the baked beans but they were out, but that is ok, because I will be back again…

I came in very hungry and Malik was welcoming and helped me decide, the famous tri tip sandwich was delicious!! Also Malik is a very warm, open guy to have a chat with while you eat if you’re dining in the interior. He also has a TV set up to entertain you! Grab a fresh juice while you’re there too.

Baba’s Barbecue in Citrus Heights is an absolute gem! The food is amazing, the service is fast, and the portions are huge for the price — you definitely get your money’s worth.
The tri-tip sandwiches were incredible — super flavorful, tender, and juicy in every bite. You can tell they know what they’re doing when it comes to barbecue.
I usually stick to burgers wherever I go, and the short blonde burger here did NOT disappoint. One thing that really stood out to me is they actually put enough sauce on it (which is rare!). My biggest complaint when trying new places is that they’re always stingy with the sauce, but not here — it was perfect. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and just all-around delicious.
This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend!
