Well, the hype is definitely real when it comes to the overall vibe — it truly gives you that India-style food feel with the food trucks, benches, lights, and open-air setup. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends and family in the evenings, and I can imagine it being even better during the cooler winter months.

They do offer free tea/chai which is a good gesture for customers.

We enjoyed the food overall — it’s not a “wow” experience but definitely decent. Keema Dosa had good Keema in it however was very spicy for us . The service can be a bit slow, which is understandable given the crowd, but I personally wish they’d serve the entire order together rather than in parts — it would make the experience smoother. Not a very big menu but Less is better to choose from .

I tried onion dosa, ghee roast dosa, punugulu, cut bajji, egg bajji, and muntha masala. Punugulu and egg bajji and dosas were really good, but I didn’t like the muntha masala it was full of onions and peanuts and didn’t taste good. The place itself is peaceful with nice outdoor dining, and their chai was really good too.

We visited Babai Bandi late at night and were so happy they were still open and serving fresh food. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. They took our order with a smile and made sure everything was just right.

The food was delicious, full of authentic flavors, and served hot even at such a late hour. It really felt like comfort food after a long day. The vibe was relaxed, and you could tell they genuinely care about their customers.

They provide Fresh coconut water and it is the only good option we picked on that day. Crispy corn cannot be recommended, Oily and no flavour. Samosa and punugulu are not good. Nellore Karam dosa tastes good. Above all, had a stomach bug. I am not sure if it is because of oil they are using or something else . Menu prices are almost equal to restaurant prices. Very bad experience. Location and area is
very beautiful.

They really make good dosa and peanut chutney is also very tasty. Chicken noddle is good but not the chili chicken it was more like ketchup taste.

Update

After few months they have expanded and added sugarcane juice.

Babai Bandi is an absolute gem of a food truck! From the moment you arrive, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home.

The dosa is bursting with flavor—crispy, perfectly spiced, and paired with some of the most delicious chutney you’ll ever taste. The samosas are an absolute must-order: crispy, golden perfection with a filling that’s both hearty and well-seasoned.

Fair warning—your eyes will definitely be bigger than your stomach! With so many tempting options, you’ll want to order everything on the menu. Thankfully, they offer order-ahead options, which is great because this place gets busy. There’s also seating available right next to the truck, so you can enjoy your meal comfortably.

They’re open daily from 2 PM to midnight, weather permitting, making it a perfect stop for a late lunch or a satisfying late-night bite. If you haven’t tried Babai Bandi yet, you’re seriously missing out!

If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Indian street food, Babai Bandi Food Truck is where it’s at! The spices are perfectly balanced, and everything tastes fresh and made with love. Their dishes have that homemade vibe that keeps you coming back for more.

The service is quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Perfect for a casual, delicious meal on the go — definitely a local gem!

I always love eating food here I’ve been a couple of times and the food has always been great. The Chinese chicken fried rice especially reminds me of the street food back home in India. I also love the tiffin the dosa, idly and everything else I’ve tried here has been excellent. The punugulu and mirchi bajji are perfect for the evenings whenever I get a chance I make sure to come by and enjoy them. I really love the place the ambiance is nice and the people here are so warm, welcoming, and caring. There’s a guy named Shiva who is very confident and a bit demanding, On my first visit I told him to take it easy but he told me to try the food first and then asked my opinion. And honestly, he made me so happy with the food it was absolutely worth it!!

We tried Stuffed mirchi bajji, bezawada punukulu, Tawa Idly, Mirchi Bajji Mixture. All tastes below average. Mirchi bajji is not well cooked and tawa idly tasts spicy and different masala flavored. Mixture taste also very bad. One time visiting also not recommended . Disappointed very much!!

These guys serve the worst food ever.
Their attitude is horrible.
They don’t care about customers at all.

We ordered fried rice and noodles.
It was the worst food we’ve ever had.
It was just chilli and salt loaded with mirchi powder.

Why can’t you just say there’s no chef available and offer proper items instead?
Just because it’s late at 2–3 AM, you cook anything randomly and give it to customers just to make money.

How can you damage customers’ stomachs like this and still earn money?

Worst fellows.
