Ordered food and was pleasantly surprised to receive a free strand of hair with it. Not sure if this was meant to be a garnish or a bonus feature.
this seriously makes me question the sanity and hygiene standards in the kitchen. If visible hair is making it into customer meals, it’s hard to believe basic cleanliness is being taken seriously at all.
Food safety shouldn’t be optional. This experience was gross, careless and completely avoidable

Absolutely delicious food! I love their gobhi and mooli parathas – perfectly sized, generously filled, and served with butter and achaar. Thaali is also amazing. Their selection of fresh sweets is amazing, and everything tastes authentic and homemade. The service is always spectacular, with warm and friendly staff who make every visit a great experience.

There’s no dine-in option, only takeaway, but it’s always worth it. Baba Sweets in Burnaby never disappoints – highly recommend!

Ive been coming here for close to 20 years exclusively for the amazing samosas however on my recent purchase the size of the samosas have also fallen victim to shrink-flation. While the taste and texture has stayed true, they are now much smaller and more expensive. Unfortunately, i will be now on the hunt for a new samosa spot.

A 3.5 overall for the rating of the samosas. Great dough texture, filling and thickness but the content lacked flavour and spice. The chutney was good here – a thick consistency. Service was ok. No seating in here if you were thinking of dining indoors.

My favorite comparable fast service Indian cuisine restaurant. Usually can pre-order and pick up a delicious dinner. Samosas and sweets are people’s usual choice. But I do recommend you review the menu and order one of there always delicious items too. I have tried many of there main curries, and always grab Biryani rice and fresh naan. They have few outside seats and phoning ahead is recommended for pickup from me. Plentiful free parking on the street.

My boyfriend ordered me a veg thali from this store and it tastes not like actual indian taste. And above all, when I opened the bag, i saw a hair thinking it’s just outside the plate but while eating the daal, there was black hair in that. I was left with no option but to throw away the whole food which we never throw at all. 🙁

I tried a lot other meal in a surrey location but here in Burnaby location I tried a panneer pakora today it is not well cooked and is not really fresh also they charge me for a green chutney as it is complementary with all the meals everywhere. Also staff members don’t deal us nicely.

We ordered from Baba Sweets for the first time per recommendations from family in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was pretty good. We ordered online and our food was ready in about 20 minutes. We walked in to pick up our dinner without any hiccups. We ordered the chili chicken, chicken curry, and rice.
1. The chili chicken was one of the best I’ve had. The chicken was very soft and tender. The peppers and onions were cooked al dente with a nice a crunch! However, the chicken was on the sweeter side. My husband didn’t like the sweetness however I didn’t mind.
2. If you need a chicken curry dish which tastes homemade… this dish, is it! Again, the chicken was soft and tender. The curry was amazing, not overly sweet or savory. The flavors of the onion, tomato, and spices were just perfect. It really tasted like comfort food. Something you could have on a cold rainy day and not feel guilty.
3. The rice was just a typical order of rice. This was probably the first time i’ve ordered rice cooked with peas from an Indian restaurant. I didn’t mind it but if you don’t like peas then don’t order the rice.
I highly recommend the two dishes we ordered from Baba Sweets, more specifically the chicken curry. I do plan on trying more items in the near future!

Baba Sweets is a great place for Indian takeout. On my last visit I picked up a lunch special Tiffin box featuring curry lamb, a few samosas and an order of tandoori chicken and Indian fries. It was very delicious, good sized portions and reasonable price.

Huge disappointment, ordered veg samosa but i was given keema samosa that also smashed and inside was filled with oil . I confronted them the other day and explained whole situation as we were furious because it was for pure vegetarians members. The staff didnot seriously adress the situation ,came up with just a sorry and brushed it off.
