Been eating here since ’97. It hasn’t changed a bit. Great food, great service.

Such a great spot for Chinese food! The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is always quiet, clean, and comfortable. The food comes out quickly, tastes fresh and delicious, and never disappoints. Definitely one of my go-to places when I’m craving Chinese!
Bonus if you visit during lunch. The specials are the highlight—big portions, great flavor, and a great price.

It was my first time eating at Ba-Dar, and I was impressed with my service and meal. The portion was just right and my order of Sesame chicken was delicious.

hot and sour soup – broth with a few mushrooms. neither hot nor sour.
moo shu had the weirdest taste. I couldn’t eat it.
mussels were disgusting. not raw but not cooked through. outsides not cleaned. hairy. tough. almost 2 hours waited for food. would never go back..

The wonton soup, lo-mein, bbq pork ribs ragoons, and strawberry boba tea were EXTREMELY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLLY GOOD. The servers were really nice and helpful. And this was totally not written by an 11 year old.

An amazing and delicious culinary experience! The food, (delightful!) the wait staff(so polite and helpful and sweet!) the restaurant (retro, clean, and comfortable!) and the wait(hardly any!) were wonderful! Would highly recommend this as a great Chinese restaurant to dine at and have leftovers to spare! I will definitely be back!

Like most big cities in America, Tucson has an abundance of Chinese and Asian restaurants. It’s hard, if not impossible, to have just one favorite. My goal when eating out is always searching for a new place to experience and comparing them to my favorite familiar stops.
Ba-Dar is a place near my home, which I always drive by but hadn’t stopped to visit. Today was the day, and boy have I’ve been missing out!
The wontan soup and the mixed Mongolian dish I had were delicious. Perfectly cooked, quickly served, and nicely presented, made my visit extremely satisfying. The service was friendly and efficient along with the lobbies’ clean appearance. I’m looking forward to more visits in the future. I highly recommend the Ba-Dar if you’re hungry and in the area. Happy eating!

Lunch at Ba-Dar was delicious as usual: Gyoza & Sizzling Rice Soup. And copious! — I took half of it home. Everything I’ve ordered over the years has been fresh, hot and tasty, and the rather lengthy menu offers many choices. Not at the level of those really great bay area restaurants (where the golden-grilled block of rice really sizzles), but this is probably the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Tucson. The servers are really nice, friendly and efficient. Restaurant is clean, atmosphere is calm and pleasant.

First time eating here and I am glad I have not delayed this experience further! On point flavor and not salty as one would stereotypically expected. The server was very friendly, very helpful and the food came with perfect timing. I will definitely be back here soon! Thank you!
