As Vietnamese immigrants, they envisioned elevating the vibrancy of their childhood cuisines by sourcing the highest quality ingredients and were determined to redefine people’s expectations of street food. Yes, , we take pride in bringing the flavors and nostalgia of our hometown, Vietnam, to the vibrant city of Seattle. We serve the Best Pho In Town. Come join us! It’s a family affair.

The decor is great as was the service. Almost went back the following day as I was in the neighborhood but went to Carmello’s instead
Highly recommended!
Our food was delicious, but the incredible service we received from Michelle is what made it all the more special. Michelle was so attentive, she gave us great recommendations, and she was super sweet. I don’t remember the last time my dad was so impressed with customer service, but he said that it felt like we were at a fancy steakhouse with the 5 star treatment we received from Michelle. My family left feeling happily full, our cravings satisfied, but also a little sad that we don’t have more time to pay Ba Bar another visit before we leave (although, I’m trying to convince my dad we need to stop there before the airport for one more round of the Pandan Vietnamese coffee lattes, which were ridiculously bomb) We honestly can’t wait to come back! Thank you Michelle and Ba Bar for the hospitality and treating us like ohana. Aloha until next time!
We love BaBar for the best Vietnamese food in the city. Also, when you compare prices to other Cap Hill restaurants, their prices are much better for the food and service you get.
Also their playlist is fantastic! A good mixture of pop music classics and current Vietnamese pop!
The dining room ans restrooms were clean.
genuinely this is the worst pho i’ve ever had. AND it doesn’t come with any tofu. the tofu was $4.50 EXTRA on top of the bowl being $18. with the tofu added on, that makes the veggie pho the most expensive on the menu which is so crazy.
our server was super nice. but honestly that couldn’t make up for the horrible vegetarian food.
the pho broth just didn’t taste like pho broth at all. it even had seaweed in it. and they also didn’t have hoisin or sriracha bottles on the table. you have to ask for it and they bring you a tiny little dish. also they didn’t bring any herbs to put in our pho.
I want to make it clear that I did try to provide this feedback in person before leaving this review. The waiter was super kind when I provided the feedback to be passed on to the manager. We didn’t ask for this, but they said they would try to see if they could get to get our meals compensated. They said that they couldn’t and instead brought us a bag of cookies on *them*, that would come out of their pay check— says a lot about the management.
It’s disappointing because why even offer a vegetarian item if you refuse to do it well? Just save people the time and money of even considering this place for a vegetarian option by removing this from your menu.
The Old Phoshian spin on an Old Fashion had the nice addition of anise but otherwise no hint of pho broth. Good, if slightly misleading.
It’s popular with the neighborhood locals and Seattle University students, so recommend getting there a little on the early side for dinner since there were several large parties waiting to get in when we left.
