Stopped over for a quick bite and from the moment I entered the service was fantastic. I was advised on the wine selection, the notes of each were explained to me and I went with the staff recommendation. The ambiance of the place is very calm and homelike, overall I enjoyed the meal !

I used to absolutely LOVE banh banh but unfortunately it’s really gone down hill recently. I used to get the tofu bun salad and it would be a massive portion and was the best Vietnamese food around but since they’ve changed the recipe it’s just not that good sadly. They’ve also halved the portion size which does rub some salt on the wound! If they decide to go back to the original recipe I would defo start ordering again but for the price the new style is just not worth it. Am going to have to find a new Vietnamese restaurant to go to!

I used to visit quite often but had to stop for a while as I found the food quality had gone downhill. I went back for dinner tonight with a friend and I’m happy that I could feel the cooking passion again. The food was fresh and flavourful, the decor is warm and welcoming. My friend loved what he had. Service could be a touch better.

I rarely go somewhere and don’t enjoy the food. We ordered two starters and the pork noodle salad both as mains. The pork was very questionable. The service was good but I got recommended the pork noodle salad and I’m unsure why anyone would eat that!

The most divine soul nourishing food I’ve had in a long time! The chicken coconut curry was like a giant hug and Blair, our server had the most loving, joyful energy. I feel and appreciate the home cooked family vibes. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Thank you!! I will be back!!

After trying to eat somewhere else we were recommended this restaurant instead.
The service was really warm and friendly with good recommendaitons for the small plates. My brother wasn’t massively hungry so had the prawn noodle salad and bettel leaf beef dish. He thouroughly enjoyed it and polised it off.
I had the aubergine dish with rice and veg spring rolls. The spring rolls were a bit bland but the aubergine dish was delicious – I just wish there was more of it. The rice was well cooked and all in all an enjoyable small meal.
I rate this restaurant for the service and will return to try some other things, including the cocktail selection which looked great.

Just moved to the neighbourhood and was excited to try this place. I ordered a vegan soup which said it was spicy on the menu, but in reality it was extremely spicy (and I can handle spicy food very well). But this was too much, to the point i couldn’t feel anything. When I asked politely if I could have a new soup but less spicy or if I could order something else- the waitress took my soup and said she will check in the kitchen; only to come back with my original soup diluted with hot water ♀️ yes it became less spicy, but was completely flavourless! And she didn’t even check on me if it was ok this time. I won’t be ever coming back!

Great food! Thinking the menu is slightly limited compared to other restaurants we’ve been to. But what they do cook is fragrant and tasty. The size of main dishes were very decent and very stuffed afterwards!

Finally I managed to try this spot that had been on my list for a while.
Went in for a spontaneous Sunday lunch. We were sat immediately.
We decided to go for the summer roll with prawn, a noodle salad with pork and the beef pho.
If you order the lime soda, they make it to order, so refreshing!
The portions are abundant, and the flavours are really great.
The summer rolls were really nice and come with a peanut sauce.
For the pho, they do bring you a few items on the side so you can add them on if you want a spicy broth.
Definitely would recommend and I am looking forward to be back and try something else!

I’ve been going to Banh Banh in Peckham for a number of years and always have a great meal at a very reasonable price. My top three dishes are the prawn pancakes, summer rolls and the chicken wings (so good I once ordered a second portion for a dessert!) One of my favourite restaurants in south London.
