Great food at a reasonable price. Average price is $15 to $20 dollars per person. The restaurant is conveniently located with a scenic view of the Rock River. There is ample parking. Both carryout and restaurant dining are available. The restaurant is casual and kidfriendly. Their staff is extremely friendly!

Could be described as the proverbial “hole in the wall”. But you come for the chicken. It is very good. I got the 2 piece dark with Cole slaw and potato salad. All very good indeed. Service was quick and efficient.

The chicken is only fried. Just so you know. But it was some of the best fried I’ve had. Normally I peal off the skin, but I tried it on and am thankful.
Cash only!!! Know before you go. The location is great. Small-scale local joint with regulars that are great company.
The prices were reasonable and the people who own/work there are great.

Cook to order. Good food (fried chicken). Fair price. Honored hospitality. We took our order to the riverfront table for dinner, just about 10-20 steps away. It’s an absolutely beautiful scenery park, tranquil atmosphere evening that we don’t have to pay for. What else to complain about? Call order will be best serving your enjoyment time!

Chicken is their flagship product and I usually get the strips. Onion rings hit the perfect balance of crunch and flavor. The family clearly pours pride into everything they serve.

Not what it used to be. The onion rings were not rings; they were GLOBS of rings not separated and pulled apart but still battered together. Globs. They were not warm or hot like they used to be. Neither was the chicken. Fries were cold. They used to be hot when you got home a mile away. I think they went out to the Cement Plant and got pigeons for our chicken again. Not what it used to be at all. $$$
$48=two-mixed-halves+order-of-onion-rings.

I was introduced to this place about five years ago and every time I go to Dixon I make sure to get some of the best fried chicken ever! I also seen a shown on a TV show called Shipping Wars and in the show some band had to have their delivery vehicle which was a Mustang with a chicken on top that I’m almost positive came from this location. LOL
