The inside of the store does not give a typical soul food place. More of a Chinese restaurant. The service lady was nice and straight to the point answering out questions.
The food is mid but its do able. I would go back to try other thongs

Heading home to Frederick on a Friday night I decided to stop and visit B. Anderson’s in their new location in Brunswick. I had the new address but still found it difficult to locate the storefront. The sign is not visible from the parking lot but the food is worth the effort to seek it out tucked away back between Ace hardware and the pizza carryout. The service was very friendly and the seating area comfortable while I waited for my carryout order. I chose the Friday night special, fried catfish stuffed with spinach and shrimp. The servings are generous and the fish was perfectly cooked. I missed out on my favorite collard greens but enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy with nicely seasoned green beans. Delicious comfort food, friendly service and a comfortable dining room. I wish them success in this new location.

Absolutely loved this spot! Classic Southern comfort food done right. I ordered the smothered pork chop – tender, full of flavor, perfectly crusted, and covered in gravy with small bits of turkey over rice. The collard greens were fresh and flavorful, and the baked mac and cheese had real chunks of cheddar, not just sauce. Portions were generous, everything came out piping hot, and the sweet cornbread was moist with just the right amount of sweetness.

Casual, welcoming place with comfort food that truly delivers. I’ll definitely be back.

Very pleasantly surprised!

Living in Brunswick, one gets used to the very limited and generally uninspiring dining options. B. Anderson’s is definitely offers light in the darkness.

We ordered 4 of the Jerk Chicken special to eat family style with the kids. I’m not always a jerk chicken enthusiast because many restaurants just overdo the jerk spices. B. Anderson seems to get the flavor balance just right… well spiced, but without feeling like you are just eating directly out of your spice cabinet.

Each dinner special comes with cornbread and 2 sides. Rice is also included in the jerk chicken meal. For sides we got mashed potatoes, fried corn, green beans, and mac & cheese. The sides were all great. The fried corn was outstanding. I’m not a big fan of green beans because they are cooked soft (southern style), but that’s my subjective preference, not a reflection on the cook. The mac & cheese is kid-approved.

Save the cornbread for dessert. It’s definitely on the sweet side. It’s fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth moist.

The serving size was quite generous especially given the $15 dinner special price. We will have plenty of leftovers.

I’m very pleased to have an excellent new local dining option.

Good soul food is hard to find and this is the honey pot stopped in the day after Christmas. Incredibly kind owner, equally as incredible food. Skip the chain restaurants and go here. I want to try every dish!

Amazing experience! The customer service was top-tier — friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The food was full of authentic Caribbean flavor . We had fried chicken and chicken jerky , loved the sides of collard greens and mashed potatoes.
Real home-style flavor, generous portions, and a very reasonable wait time. This is the kind of spot you come back to and recommend without hesitation. Definitely a must-try!

Had a delicious fried chicken wings dinner from B. Anderson’s. Yummy mac n cheese and green beans the way I remember from my early days in southern-ish Maryland. Excited to support a local non-chain restaurant and looking forward to sampling breakfast fare soon.

First time eating here and it was AMAZING! Got the jerk chicken platter for my first try and it was the best I’ve ever had. Came with 2 chicken quarters and we ate both to the bone! Mac and cheese was great and so were the greens. Will 100% be back to try more. So glad I found this gem so close to home. Highly recommend paying them a visit. Entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the great meal!

Today was the first day I went into the restaurant and I couldn’t say any thing negative about this place. The food is absolutely delicious. The lady (forgot to get her name) up front was so sweet and we chatted for a little bit while my food was being made. I wasn’t even planning on going in until I kept smelling the food. It’s beyond amazing! The place is so uniquely decorated and I loved every second of being in there.

Looking for comfort food – look no more. Jerk Chicken — delicious, juicy and very spicy. Ribs — delicious. Mashed potatoes with turkey gravy — OMG amazing, fluffy, flavorful and just melt in your mouth. Mac and cheese — good, cheesy, and decadent… your grandmas southern Mac n cheese.
