I’m honestly not someone who likes leaving bad reviews, but after this experience, I feel like I have to warn people. This was my first time trying Azul, and I left so disappointed and honestly feeling scammed. My friend and I both ordered four tacos each. I got carnitas, two al pastor, and one asada, and every single one was a letdown. The tacos were greasy, sloppy, and just not good. The al pastor tasted sour, like the meat had gone bad or had been sitting out for way too long. That alone made me uncomfortable, but the fact that the grease was literally pooling at the bottom of the container made it even worse. I’ve had a lot of tacos in my life, and I’ve never had an asada taco this greasy before. It was to the point where neither of us could finish our food. We just threw it away and took the loss. What really bothers me is the safety part of this. Serving meat that tastes sour is not okay, and it made me feel sick after eating it. I work hard for my money, and it’s frustrating to spend it on a meal that was not only bad but honestly felt unsafe to eat. I keep seeing all these amazing reviews and I’m genuinely confused, because this experience was nothing like what people describe. If you’re going to charge premium prices for tacos, the quality should match. There are so many great taco spots in Charlotte that are cheaper and way better, so there’s really no excuse for serving greasy, sour food. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but that still doesn’t make it okay. I won’t be coming back.

So much flavor in every bite! Everything we ordered was packed with taste and clearly made with care. The food came out incredibly fast, and you could tell it was fresh and prepared to order. It’s always a great sign when you don’t have to wait long but still get quality that doesn’t feel rushed. The only downside is that there isn’t a lot of seating available inside, so it can feel a bit tight during busy times. That said, the amazing flavor and quick service definitely make it worth the visit!

Nice staff, but the torta de asada wasn’t it. I believe the bread was too cold IDK but it was hard and the bottom bun was soggy… lol but the meat was ok and the cheese deep was mid over all I suggest new bread brand/provider. (Its looks good tho)

AMAZING! Our waitress was so nice, and our food came out so fast. The food looked amazing, but the taste….. WOW! I had the best chimichanga I’ve ever had here. (I am a chimichanga connoisseur) I lived this place, and yes, it was fairly pricey, but the place was ran nicely for just opening 3 days prior to when I ate there. And WITHOUT argument, that chimichanga I had was ATLEAST $16 worth, so I think it was a fairly good deal. Azul was so good. 5 STARS!!!!

Authentic and delicious! The burritos and tortas are packed with flavor, and the tres leches cake is a must-try. Don’t skip the pineapple mango drink super refreshing! This spot is the real deal. We will be coming back!!!

The street tacos here were pretty good and I would recommend. I got two chicken and two Al pastor tacos. The flavor combo on the Al pastor wasn’t my favorite, but the chicken tacos were really good!

David greeted our family with a smile the moment we walked in. The food flavors were identical to what I had in Mexico. The bowl, tacos and kid food was full of flavor and well seasoned. Highly recommended spot in charlotte. A++++

Ordered the asada fries, a street taco with al pastor, and the hibiscus agua fresca. While on the slightly pricier side of fast casual, the amount of flavor and care in each dish is worth it. The fries were loaded with toppings, the salsa avocado and salsa taqueria on top were fantastic. The street taco was the star of the show, with a thick marinade of the al pastor, juicy pineapple, and a perfect soft corn tortilla. Will be back and soon!

Wow! Amazing tacos! We really enjoyed the food and service. Everything came out fast and hot. The menu offers great variety of dishes from authentic Mexican to Tex Max. Portions are great, prices are decent. Our favorite were Beef cheeks and tongue tacos. Highly recommend!
