Very nice server. We love Thai food. Crazy for it in fact. This place was a bit of disappointment to us. Very limited menu. It was good, not great. We had high expectations. What we ordered was good/ok, but not sure we’d go out of our way to return, like we did today.

Best example of Thai food outside of Thailand. Having travelled there many times we identified the authentic taste straight away. The owner gave us excellent and friendly service and the portion sizes were perfect. I had the Thai green curry and it was served with fresh Thai basil and plenty of vegetables and chicken. The prices were also very reasonable. The best food us Aussie tourists have had since we landed in Orlando. Thank you for a lovely meal and adding to our great trip to St. Augustine.

We had the beef kaprow, duck ramen and vegan noodles (bamee), shiitake gyoza. All very good and authentic. It was all stirfried really well and dry. The flavoring is more savory than sweet (which we like). Very delicious.

Food was ok didn’t taste like any basil fried rice I’ve ever had an I’ve had it at alot of different places in different states,it was more like fried rice the basil wasnt coming thru in the flavor. Curry was lacking sauce it was like a gravy rather than a soup. All in all it wasn’t the worse just not my favorite

I love Thai food! This place was a miss for us. First, I recognize it may be a small place with limited staff. There was one party when we arrived. The guy said we could sit anywhere from behind the counter. It took a while before he came and asked what we wanted for drinks. He bought the waters & left. Again, it took a while before he returned, and it wasn’t because he was at the other table. I usually opt for yellow curry, which they don’t offer. So I asked how the red curry & the flavor profile were. He said he couldn’t tell me, he can’t describe it. I ordered that, and my husband ordered his favorite chicken basil fried rice. It took a considerable amount of time to prepare those two dishes. We weren’t satisfied with the taste, but we thought they gave us regular fried rice instead. It contained peas and carrots, and the menu clearly indicates that it is not included in the basil fried rice. The basil was added, but not built into the flavor, which makes me think they messed it up.
Additionally, the cilantro was missing, but it was listed as an ingredient. The guy didn’t come back forever, so he just started eating it. When the waiter finally came, I explained it to him, and he just looked & said, ‘If we made it spicier, we’d taste the basil more!’ I’ve never heard of that, and I eat Thai food sometimes twice a week, & also make it at home using Thai recipes from a very good friend who is from that area. The curry was unlike any curry I’ve ever had, and it was actually lacking curry soup. It was very underwhelming, like the rice. The rice dish was nearly $30 – they have this priced way too high, but we don’t mind paying for good food. This was not worth it at all, and it was the most expensive in the state. Even when traveling throughout other states. I go to Jacksonville and pay $22 for great-quality beef. Highly dissatisfied with the food, wait, and service.
Update: In response to the owner/waiter’s response, I removed a star.
So you took the time to be snarky in your response about something I never even said. And, yes, I review fast. Why? What does it matter? Plus, I never questioned the authenticity. I said what your menu lists!! You couldn’t even describe your food. As a restaurant, having a party of 8 doesn’t mean I should be at your establishment for an hour for the two simple meals I ordered. Nor does it mean I should be grateful I received my food before another party, which was your only party at the time. You exaggerated a bit with the hovering… actually a lot. It wasn’t about being there; you didn’t check on us, took a while to come over, and then the food took a long time. But I guess as the customer I’m wrong here – okay, have that.
As stated, I don’t mind paying for good food and quality. I don’t, however, see the correlation with your establishment. Baitong offers a lower cost and a higher level of food satisfaction, as well as larger portion sizes. You’re just overpriced for what you get. My mentioning that I travel & eat a lot of Thai food goes to the fact that I know GOOD FOOD & GOOD THAI when I get it. What we had was very basic, and it was our least favorite from any restaurant, city, or state that we’ve traveled to or lived in. I guess I have mistaken all the other restaurants for good food, and yours should be the example? OK, have that too.
Additionally, Noom in Jacksonville only uses traditional recipes handed down through their family, making it remarkable, consistent & and more affordable, while also tasting way better. It’s owned by a husband & wife & their son helps out there. They do an excellent job with food and service- you should go try it and take notes. You’ve wasted time on a lengthy response because my experience is just that. Plus, what does the time of the year have to do with anything? Do you ASSume I’m a tourist??? I’ll have you know that I’ve ordered takeout from there before, & it wasn’t great, which is why we opted to dine in to see if the experience was different. It wasn’t. Instead of being defensive about my experience, perhaps you should consider it.

We had an absolutely amazing meal at Ayara! Everything we ate was delicious and we would order again. We had a Thai Lemonade, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Satay, Crispy Duck Ramen, and Pad Bamee. Every dish was extremely flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. Easily the best Thai food we’ve ever had!

I almost died when I saw a fried rice is almost $30 so I had to try . and I was not disappointed. big chunks of beef and the soup is so tasty tum yum Thai herbal soup a must try. helped me work thru my virus. im not saying the food should not be $30 in these days but when you see that it makes u want to try it. soup was more affordable yet still very high standard.

Wow! So fresh. So good. You can taste the clean goodness in this food. We are extremely picky restaurant goers and normally cone away from a place disappointed. Dinner out is a convenience, not a dining experience 90% of the time.

BUT, this place satisfies, not just feeds.

Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience.

There were clearly available tables, yet we were repeatedly told to wait while many other customers were also standing around. The staff moved extremely slowly, and seating guests felt unnecessarily delayed.

Once seated, the service did not improve. Ordering took a long time, and the food was served very slowly as well. Overall, it gave the impression that the staff was intentionally dragging their feet rather than trying to manage the crowd efficiently.

This is not just inconvenient for customers, but also reflects poor management. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and addresses the service issues, because the current experience does not match what customers expect.

Just skip it. If you like thai food…. this isn’t it. The drunken noodles are not drunken noodles. Its spaghetti. I called Immediately to see if they could make another dish to replace it. He said no. I then asked for a refund He said the best I can do is offer you 15% off your next order. Food is also extremely overpriced. Kids meal was just the tenders and cost $13. On top of all this, after trying the “drunken noodles” my family member has been sick for the last 2 days now.
