Awaze is my absolute favorite restaurant in the entire Triangle area. We’ve been their customers for a couple years now and always look forward to our next visit. You’ll have to try it for yourself to see why it’s so special but let me just mention a few things.

Excellent Ethiopian/Eritrean food! We usually order the meat sampler and the veggie sampler plus additional dishes a needed for more people. Try the Ethiopian tea, either hot or iced.

My husband and I visited Raleigh from Kentucky and came here since we love Ethiopian food, but don’t have any where we live. It was even better than we expected and the server was so sweet. We got the vegetarian and the meat combination platters, and the spiced iced tea. Everything was amazing! We’re gonna miss it so much! Will definitely be back when we visit again.

This is my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and I really enjoyed it. We went as a group and ordered different kinds to taste everything. We really liked their curries, which is almost the same as Indian. Injera is also good. Wish there are more options in drinks .

We had a lovely evening at Awaze. Despite having no reservations on a Saturday evening, our party of 6 was seated with 1 minute of arriving. Eden explained the menu options patiently and when the food came, it was delicious. We shared Vegetarian and Meat platters between ourselves and were well filled.

This was an absolutely beautiful dining experience! We love trying new cuisine and Ethiopian did not disappoint. The decor in the restaurant is very eclectic and lovely like sitting in the middle of the Serengeti! Lots of interesting beverages and many vegetarian options to choose from! We will definitely be going back!
