Awabi is family owned and opened for about 15 years. This place provides some of the best crafted sushi I’ve ever had. The staff are super nice, Faye was so sweet! The hours are a little hard to catch for me personally but make it work, 12-2 pm Saturday for lunch and 5pm-9pm for dinner. They are located within the walking mall, but easy to get to. Highly recommend the food and atmosphere!

We visited Awabi Sushi Bar located in the walk-able “Old Winchester” area of Winchester, Virginia.
Let me start off by saying this food was amazing! The sushi was extremely fresh and flavorful and most of their special sushi rolls had their own unique spin on tastes.
Our waiter was this muscular guy who had a fun sense of humor and offered selection suggestions. He was extremely attentive and was a great host.
Bathrooms were clean and safe, and the atmosphere was very laid back.
We will definitely be visiting this delightful sushi restaurant again soon!

Have eaten here twice in the past year, most recently around 4th of July, on our way up to NY. My wife and I both get sashimi and some rolls. Super fresh fish. They also have fresh wasabi if you ask. Will be back.

Great restaurant specializing in fresh sushi, they do have many other delicious options as well. The staff here is very friendly and service was quick. Most sushi options have a slight twist with unique ingredients and flavor profile which sets it apart from other places in the area. The miso soup was outstanding and just the right size bowl. The beach house roll came with a butter garlic sauce for dipping which was a good alternative to soy sauce. Overall was very pleased with my visit, cost was a bit high but you are getting what you pay for with the quality, will continue to visit!

Best place in Winchester to get sushi; don’t bother going anywhere else! Everything we had to eat was insanely good, and every dish had totally different flavors (I hate when you order several different sushi rolls at a place and they all taste the same). Everything here was unique and delicious! The service was also incredible; Laura was great! She was friendly and knowledgeable, and just a joy to talk with. Emma was also amazing, and explained to us that the kale and other greens used as garnishes are from the restaurant’s personal garden. Whoever hears of farm-to-table in a sushi restaurant outside of Japan?! We were thoroughly impressed and can’t wait to eat there again!

Fantastic place! An absolute gem! The owners, husband and wife were very friendly and outgoing. The sashimi was absolutely fresh and the portions were large! The sushi, rolls were also Fantastic! The presentation of the food was done with care. Awabi is well worth stopping in and eating at. We ate in their outdoors dinning area, the location is perfect. We will be back the next time we are passing through Winchester! I added some photos of the food we ordered

I live in NOVA but work in Winchester. I LOVE Awahbi. I would dine here everyday if I could. Sushi is delicious but I also love their Korean offerings. Awahbi has the best bibimbap. They cut the vegetables just the way I like them. Awahbi roll is my favorite. I love their fish to rice ratio. Most Sushi restaurants tend to put way too much rice in their rolls. I eat here at least once a week if not twice. A MUST TRY in Winchester, VA!

Was more like an Asian fusion pub than a sushi-bar when I went. Lots of Korean inspired entrees and appetizers. Service was lacking… Waitress was more focused on her friend that dropped by after she had just gave birth.
