I love A/W but every time I come here Google maps says that it open but it never is. I always want to come here on the drive back from a Main salmon river trip and I’m always craving some restaurant food. i heard the intersection is good

It’s a gas station A&W. Got a root beer float that took way too long – mostly because the line was extremely slow. The ice cream seemed old; lots of solid frozen ice globs.

They would only take cash. I understand a fluke day when the system is down but the sign looks like it’s been hanging there for months. The ATM charged us twice. The food was fine but they were out of root beer. It’s a restaurant known for their root beer! It is a dive little gas station in a tiny town, super busy.

I know they were incredibly understaffed so that may have been the parasite but we ordered a root beer float. It took over 20 minutes. Too long especially when you are on a road trip. I know there are circumstances but if they had told us of long wait times, we would have skipped. That being said the float was tasty.

Please do not waste your money at this location. My food was cold and distasteful. The service was awful, I stood at the counter for a couple mins while the employee swept. I watched her do it again to another person. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting.

If I could leave negative stars I would. It took 45 minutes for a burger some chicken strips and fries. So if you are traveling through to a destination I wouldn’t stop unless you an unimaginable amount of time to spare. They are an a&w rootbeer place with no rootbeer. The people working were more concerned with talking with friends in line, and taking more orders that they couldn’t fill. We like to stop here every time we’re driving through and now we will be stopping somewhere else.

I stop in here on a regular basis when I travel thru, typically Bc I love A&W strawberry shakes… I don’t typically order burgers Bc as a truck driver, they just aren’t conducive to a healthy lifestyle… but on occasion!
I’ve never ordered anything BUT a double bacon cheeseburger, I eat half and save the other half for later.
She rings me up, I dine in… get to my burger and it’s a single patty- bacon cheeseburger… I’m so convinced that I ordered a double I check my receipt… this where I failed!
I took it to the counter, showed the receipt to the young man, he said he was sorry and went back to make me a new one and told me to keep the previous one… he brings it out and then here comes the older lady with the long blondish/gray hair…
Do you have your receipt??? I tell her it’s still on the counter… she gets it, brings it back to me, stamps it down on the table and says…
“You SAID a #5!!! That’s the deluxe burger!!”
No ma’am (in fact I never even said a # or even looked at that direction on the menu… quite literally I had to crane my neck to see what a #5 was) although it did indeed say DLX on the receipt… I seriously thought that was a double, as I didn’t realize they even had a deluxe!
Beyond that she never gave me a chance to say anything further or even apologize for my misreading!
Neither myself nor the other employee caught this upon our initial inspection of the receipt!
Before I can answer or even look at the receipt myself, she taps my burger on the top like she’s patting a dog
“But here’s your double cheese burger, have a nice day”… in the most sarcastic, snide, and rudest way she possibly could… wheels around on her heal, crumples up my receipt, and throws it in the trash as she walked off!
Wow!! That’s all I can say- I won’t be back as long as she’s there…
And just so you know- HER oh so meaningful double cheeseburger got left on her counter as I left…. I didn’t realize that a simple burger could entice an individual to be so demeaning… but what do I know?! Maybe burgers mean more to ppl than I thought!

It’s located inside of a Gas station. Cannot really rate the food as we were unable to order as the restaurant closed at 7pm even though the website and Google maps page said it stays open until after 8pm. The Gas station attendant thankfully was helpful in pointing out other area restaurants still open but we never would’ve stopped here had we known it was closed. Update your hours so people aren’t deceived.

I hate to leave bad reviews but it’s really just so bad. The wait is always very long but the only other option in this town is subway so we alternate. Today the drive thru was closed but no sign where you order. Went in. They told us they won’t be taking orders for a while because they are all going on break. Lol at the same time?!! I’d think it might be personal haha but they don’t know us! If I were the owner Id think about training some new employees except this has been going on for so many years that I’m guessing one of the owners might be part of this crew. This location reflects very poorly on the rest of the franchise.
