Food was brought to us in a bag. No tray on the window. If we would have known this we would not have come.
Took the food home.
Burger SUCKED!
GARBAGE!
Location on Eureka road near Inkster in Taylor much, much, much better!
Never again!
A true L.P. landmark turned to shit!
A do not recommend any dishes.
See the totally unprofessional response from the owner of the Lincoln Park location. Without words. A&W corporate social media team, see the screenshot. I cannot even believe it. That is disgusting and you should fire the store manager there pronto and whoever else shares their “blame the customer” mindset. No, I don’t work at A&W in Taylor or at any fast food establishment, for that matter. But in seeing your nonsensical response, Lincoln Park A&W, I will now urge people to never visit your accursed plot of earth ever again. You just destroyed your own reputation by your very own sheer lack of professionalism. The proverbial falling on your own sword. Updated to a one-star rating across the board. Good riddance to ya!

Original review:
Extremely slow, understaffed, and underwhelming—this is not the classic A&W experience. It took 15 minutes for a 9-burger order. The Taylor Eureka Road is much better staffed and far more efficient. There it usually takes just 5-10 minutes flat and there we also will generally also order fries and coneys as well (in addition to the burgers in about the same quantity) in our orders. I am really questioning the 4.4-star rating here. Maybe the rose-colored nostalgia goggles, the fact you order with an old-fashioned microphone-equipped menu board in your vehicle, has people rating wrongly? In either case, the management here needs to seriously train up and staff up their employee pool!
Onto the food, the burger meat and bacon on the bacon cheeseburgers were dried out and grossly underseasoned. It was neither juicy nor flavorful like the previously noted Taylor location. We saw just teens in back, wet behind the ears, struggling to keep up with just three vehicles in the parking lot. The previously noted Taylor location usually has three times the traffic and is way faster and far better at their service! The Papa Burgers were also grossly lacking in lettuce. We had also specified extra onions and barely got a regular helping of onions on either burger.
Unless you eat a nostalgic view, the speed and flavor here is a major letdown. Save your money and do your palette a flavor favor and go to the Taylor Eureka Road location instead. That location also has far better deals, including $2.99 bacon cheeseburgers on Wednesdays (it is $3.49 here on Mondays). See the image for the Taylor Eureka Road location’s deals. They also have online ordering, a first for Metro Detroit A&W restaurants. They are far better managed and have experienced and competent kitchen staff whose burgers are oh so juicy and bursting with flavor—just like the classic A&W locations were in their heyday.
Fries are awesome as well as the cheese curds!!!
Great food!!! Definitely a place to come back as they have a good variety of dishes. Next time, we’ll order the shrimp and the cod basket.
Waitress was very attentive.
We haven’t had our A&W in about 30+ years and we enjoyed our wonderful food & experience. They are pleasant when answering the phone and the Car Hops are super sweet. We’ll be back for sure. This was one of our Friday places to eat before going to the LP roller skating rink back in 1986.
Mugs are back as well 🙂 just got one for my grandson who loves the rootbeer
FYI..open 7 days now 🙂
