We were extremely disappointed during our recent visit. Aztec A&W no longer makes their homemade steak fingers, which was the entire reason our family has driven many miles to eat here for years.
We paid a high price expecting the same homemade steak fingers we have always loved. Instead, we were served very thin, processed-style steak fingers that honestly tasted like something I could have bought frozen and heated up at home. It was not even close to what this place used to be known for.
This restaurant was a family tradition. We would drive out of town just for the steak fingers. My extended family does the same, and my sister has even come back from Georgia specifically to eat the homemade steak fingers here. Sadly, it is no longer worth the drive or the price.
This change is extremely disappointing, and we will no longer be eating here. I’ll also be letting my entire extended family know, since many of them make special trips just for this one item.
If the homemade steak fingers are truly gone for good, maybe consider posting the recipe—because the original was the only reason many of us kept coming back. The wait staff could have informed us that the steak fingers were no longer homemade before we ordered.

Waited 31 minutes for 2 small root beer floats. We ordered no food. 30 minutes for SODA IN A CUP ‼️‼️‼️‼️Only 1 person working. She was working like a tornado. She was trying her hardest to at least keep it running. 1 waitress serving 20+ people. Of course it would be dysfunctional
But this is to a point where you might as well close down. You may have money to pay employees but you have no employees.
As a business owner – At least shut down temporarily for a few months until you get your crap together
I get it. It’s impossible to find employees nowadays and management gets job applications all the time. People put in for them all the day but it’s constant rejections.
The youth is leaving small towns because there’s absolutely no opportunities. I know two 18 year olds who just quit from here.
Close down and find 10 more servers and 10 more line cooks. You have the knowledge now.

This was the worst experience. They don’t let you know till after you order that you don’t get any refills on drinks, the menu is so small that it hard to read, you now have to pay before your served. They still have no mugs for the root beer. And once we let them know the drink was bad the service got even worse. Do not recommend coming in.

Food was just okay. Service was okay. Root beer floats were tasty, but we asked for a refill on the soda in our floats and they wanted to charge us extra! For a soda refill??? We said nah, and probably wouldn’t go back again.

I was so excited to come back and eat here. I haven’t been here in a couple years so we were visiting in town. The price difference from the menu on our ticket was $20. They did not give any itemized receipt so their menu pricing was all wrong super overpriced. We had three people just got some roll tacos and some root beer floats and we paid $63 to me was outrageous, and the waitress was not very friendly.

Had to stop and grab a root beer float. Didn’t eat / try the food but will have to next time because the burgers looked yummy. I liked the old tyme car hop feel of pulling up and ordering. Price was a bit steep for a medium rootbeer float. I’ve had better at other restaurants for cheaper but had to try for nostalgia purposes to see if there was a taste difference. Will try the burgers next time and see how that rates. I wouldn’t go out of my way for another float but sometimes you just gotta give things a try.

To insure you have best possible experience read reviews look at the reviewers and if they only have 1-2 review then go down your self not always a bad experience! Patience This is the most original they have sit inside and call phone (press the button wait for answer) the food was good the people working were awesome and polite tons of parking

A&W changed so much from last time we ate here. Out of Ice Cream which A&W are known for floats! Not serving drinks in frosted mugs but plastic cups!!!!!!! Service was good and onion rings good. Burgers mediocre at best. This place needs some work to get back to greatness.

The food at A&W is usually great, but today’s experience was really disappointing. We placed a large $180 order through DoorDash, and when our driver arrived to pick it up, the employee who helped was extremely rude. She said their system had been down and they never received the order which I can understand, things happen but her attitude made the whole situation much worse.
It wasn’t just the issue itself, but how poorly she treated the person picking up the order for us. When we asked to speak with a manager, she said there wasn’t one on site. If there had been any supervision, maybe the interaction would’ve gone differently. The order also wasn’t completed on time, and the lack of basic courtesy made it even more frustrating.
We didn’t catch her name but for reference: this lady was working today 10/18/25 – has dark hair, tattoos on neck and arms

the worst service I have ever experienced. workers there are always rude w an attitude problem. came inside to order because half the stalls outside were unusable. this place is seriously run down, half the phones inside were broken also. booths look like they’re 50 years old and disgusting. you have to pick up a pay phone and order it is so gross and embarrassing. I asked the worker what kind of dipping sauce they had because it was nowhere on the menu, she was basically yelling the whole time on the phone I could barely hear what she listed and after told me “just like everywhere else” which was unnecessary to say. they brought me my food and I gave no tip and she snatched the receipt and stomped away with a huge frown. ive never received such unprofessional service before. this is not the first time I had an issue with their service but this is the last time I will ever go here. she did not even ask if I wanted the chicken hand breaded or grilled and I did not even want to bring it up with her. the food was below average, like cafeteria food, bland. normally only come for drinks but wanted to try out the food. very unpleasant experience, whoever owns/manages this place needs to do better.
