My bride and I noticed this place by happenstance and thought it would be the perfect option for a quick light snack on Valentines Day a few minutes before a scheduled massage, and it didn’t disappoint. The service was great but the food was even better! Wine was served at the perfect temps, service was prompt and courteus. Couldn’t say enough good things about this venue. Would definitely next time we’re in the lowcountry.

Cannot believe I didn’t know about this place sooner. My friend brought me here for the first time and I’m so looking forward to come back. It’s got several cool little nooks and sections that are so unique. I think the owners got great taste and variety!
They were running a teacher appreciation special that day so we got $5 glasses to start. We split a 6 choice charcuterie plate, everything was delicious! The warm pita and regular baguette bread you get is a nice touch!
I think his name was Hank, who took care of us at the bar, friendly guy! We finished off with some Prosecco that is made by a local Charlestonian so cheers to that.

Came in here for drinks with a friend. Did the three meats and three cheeses charcuterie board – everything was delicious. Love love love the hot pepper jelly. Service was lovely.
My only thing is I wish they played music. There wasn’t any playing the few hours we were there and I felt like that would have really elevated the atmosphere.

My wife and I had the pleasure to enjoy a nice bottle of Pinot Noir and a charcuterie board at Avondale Wine and Cheese. Low key, casual setting offering reasonably priced wines and cheese, meats and tapas . Service provided by Lilly was excellent. Now that we live in West Ashley we plan on visiting again and again

Let me tell u the experience here at Avondale was worth all the recognition! I was brought here by my girl friend to celebrate and it was incredible. So many different wines to try and the cheese is to die for !!!!! One of the best in Charleston by far. Great pleasure

Me and my friends absolutely adore this place! The tapas are all excellent, and they have a bunch of fun drink options, including non alcoholic. I highly recommend the Sunrise cannonball, the Humboldt fog cheese and the whipped duck rillete.

This is a staple both in the neighborhood and beyond. Perfect for a girls night or date night. And Lillian’s hospitality is bar none! She even went out of her way to help get my kitten home safely when it wandered across Avondale Avenue while she was working.

What a gem! This place was great and I will definitely be back soon. Great selection of wine, cheeses, and charcuterie. Everything was extremely well priced even the additions and single servings. Staff was very knowledgeable. Also had a great selection of books including Gulliver’s travels! Ambiance was great for an afternoon tasting, date night or just a quick small bite. Ended up staying for almost 2 hours because we just kept ordering more. Creme Brulee dessert was delicious. On Mondays you can get bottles of wine at cost and drink them at your table. Nice small outside back patio. Overall definitely worth stopping in no matter what day it is for a great board!
