First off,getting two stars for this time and last combined. Last time was “the haystack”,left with belly pleasantly full and some for home. This time,ribs. Definitely NOT fall off the bone,more like grab pliers. Make it needle nose to pick the little bits off. So tough that THEY used a bone saw to separate leaving shards of bone scattered throughout. Flavor was OK though. Between the members of our group we had varied sides. The fried okra was mush. The potato salad…well it was good. The pickle spear quite good. The Texas toast was warm bread,not toasted or buttered. The BBQ sauce was a pass,we used bottled sauce from home. The coleslaw was cabbage with a touch of Italian dressing on it. As far as the help,I called first to see about specials,the kid said “I think we have a plate for like 5$”. Anyway,this is Texas, drive two more miles in any direction for better. Hope that helps.

A regular stop for pulled pork for me. I’m from VA and NC and just gotta have good pulled pork! Avondale Station certainly fills the bill very tastily. A huge yum.

The food was really excellent.. and quick… All the sides are fresh tasting and super. Had a pulled pork sandwich and a chopped briscuit sandwich… Superb!
