I have celiac and came to Avila’s for their gluten free menu, however they don’t treat gluten allergies properly. I ordered from the gluten free menu and was assured the meal I ordered would avoid cross contact. Not only was I served regular, non gluten free enchiladas but after flagging this to the server, the manager even came over and informed us “sometimes the rice is not gluten free”.

Came in for lunch after cruising the beach cities. Saturday afternoon, there were a lot of people, so parking was a challenge. We came in and were seated right away. Our server Jessica, was awesome with a pleasant attitude, and quick service. Seating is a little cramped. Food was great! We got a avocado burrito, Azteca burrito, and guacamole for our chips. The burritos were a decent size and got us full. Guacamole was fresh. It satisfied our hunger and had us ready to continue our mission.

We stopped in here during our long layover to get back home to Las Vegas. The staff was super friendly and didn’t mind us hauling our luggage in while we ate. Everything we had was delicious! The chips and salsa were so good. I had a cheese enchilada and my husband had a chimichanga, we both agreed it was a 10 out of 10.

Yummy traditional Mexican food at Avila’s El Ranchito on Seal Beach’s Main Street! The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty and bought us some time to look over the menu! I ordered the fresh guacamole and chips to start and then chicken fajitas for the entree! Both were so good I would come back anytime! The beach and good Mexican food go hand in hand!! Def worth stopping in!

One of the most delicious Mexican food restaurants I have ever eaten at! I wish I lived closer to it! I highly recommend the chicken flautas and enchiladas.

Prices are good, location is okay, people are nice and accommodating. Parked in a nearby public parking (3$), not too busy around 5pm. The food arrived straight away, it was good. The food is a little on the bland side, there’s no overwhelming taste and there weren’t any sauces on the table. I had to ask for some hot sauce to add more flavor to give it some heat. This isn’t typical of me to ask for extra hot sauce! I think I would pass on it moving forward.

Place had decent food however service was slow. While the waiter was polite and respectful the whole experience was average. We were initially told the wait would be about 30min. It ended up taking an hour and 40 min which was frustrating however we walked to a local coffee shop while we waited. Chips and salsa came out immediately but it then took 20 min before anyone approached our table to ask about drinks and at which point we also placed our food order. We expected the food to be delayed based on what we could see and our experience up to this point. The food took about 30 min which was pretty quick seeing how the day was going. When we were done we had to ask a few times for boxes and then waited 45 min just for the check to arrive after we had our boxes. We started the day around 1030 am in the morning with putting in our name and we left around 230 pm. Great food but service could improve.

Omg!!! Everything from entering this restaurant to the service was fantastic. You’re greeted upon entering, seated, and immediately given chips/salsa. The food ingredients were fresh, and the portions were huge. We had the best dining experience and will be eating here again.
